-- Sidechained (?) Rise
Sidechained (?) Rise
I can't get it sounding right myself or find it on the internet
Does anybody know how to have get a rise in a track which sounds like its sidechained to the kick drum. I feel like a noob for not being able to figure it out myself, but I honestly can't get it ha. Help would be greatly appreciated
In Logic - you need 2 audio channels - one with the sidechain signal - 2nd one with the rise sample and add a compressor. Use the compressor and a sidechain signal on the rise up sample.
Its as simple as sidechaining like you would anything else?
Ive tried messing around with it but it doesnt give the same pumping/rising effect when i do it. By the way i use Fruity, but the principle is still the same.

Add "Fruit Compressor" to the mixer channel containing your "rise sample". Right click on the gain knob and select "Link to controller..." Select the PEAK control. Adjust the knobs on the Peak Controller until you sound how it wants. |
Glad to help.
What you can always try to make it sound 'right' is to add an LFO to the noise volume which is synced to the host tempo.
