now if only Google's Chrome would go out of beta or at least be stable along with a Linux release

im not using IE 7.0 and my firefox hasnt worked properly since i installed my firewall lol. whats my 3rd option, netscape navigator? i used to use that over IE when i began using the internet because I liked the avatar.

Uninstall firefox and reinstall it.

There is also:
Opera, Safari (for windows), Chrome (mentioned above) Flock
+more

Obviously you're not on a Mac (you mentioned ie7)
But there is:
Firefox, Safari, Camino, Omniweb + more

maybe your firewall/security program has a web link scanner. Which basically scans every single thing you do in the browser and slows it down to a snails pace.

Google Chrome is a rpetty good alternative too.

Google Chrome just came out of Beta yesterday. Hm... what a coincidence

Posted by Nerologic on Dec-17-2008 01:30:

I dont trust the google browser for a second.

They are prolly selling statistics on the back side. Something that some of the G1 users are starting to realize.

Google always has something going on behind the scenes, so i don't think i will ever leave firefox.

Posted by R!CH on Dec-17-2008 23:44:

so windows update prompted me for an ie7 security patch, which i installed, then it was so insistent that i restart immediately that it opened 2 more instances of firefox, crashed all 3, and made the vista gui go ape shit. thanks ms!

I cant use chrome.. doesnt have adblock. The internet is a totally different place without it.

Firefox+adblock+flashblock = win!

word. plus there's no point in switching to anything that isn't an improvement. chrome datamines, which if nothing else hinders performance.
