I love the track selection! Such a wide range depending on the day/time you listen.

I love the old school stuff and the party feel it gives you as well as the up to date tunes - I see Addy and Lio tracks on there all the time.

I am saddened to say that they do drop the odd pop remix in there but you can't have it all.

I can't stand Brittany Spears tracks...we all know it's just her singing one line and the computer generating the rest of the song....slapping her name on it..and VOILA..we have a hit...so annoying...

i have been at house parties where all my friends had to play music was their tv! i've listened to more than enough of this channel.

it's okay. they play some good classics at a 10:1 ratio usually! LOL

Ive been enjoying the Blues channel lately... i think thats the one

I really dislike most all the dance tunes they play on there. Find them all uninspiring, and weak sounding. Nothing on there usually speaks to me. and i so wish it did.

To each his or her own of course though, n'est-ce pas? xo


Now, what I WISH Galaxy would get was either a 1) euro station, 2) a trance station, or 3) a TECHNO station!

Then I would ALWAYS have my TV set to it!

I heard them just play the Thomas Datt Bootleg of Good for me. Brings back memories of hearing it the last time A&B were at guv... pathetic set, that.

714 is my default channel when the box is turned on. Good when I don't want to fight with my effing Sony DVD player or media center computer just to get some morning tunage.

Galaxie Dance is kinda hit and miss though. Sometimes great tunes, sometimes garbage. They're trying to appeal to too wide an audience.

Bell sat radio has an electronic station in addition to Dance. Rogers - not so much

I think the reason for the questionable track selection is that it is 714 is a CBC station so they have to abide by the CRTC regulations for CANCON. I can't remember what the percentage is but a certain amount of content broadcasted must be by a Canadian artist of performed in Canada.

On a side note sometime I listen to chanel 715 the ambient station when I'm trying to fall asleep. I think its kinda soothing.

was it the 2006 one? i think only two good tunes i heard were simon patterson - f16 and let the light shin in. that, and feeling electro (valentino kanzyani remix)

No the one 2 years ago this February. A set with no direction, horrible songs and for every A&B production there was 4 hugs between them. Was really sad, actually.
