Dark Knight 2010?
So sitting down and watching Global News this morning when the entertainment segment comes on.
Rumours for the new Dark Night movie, set to be released in 2010:
Eddie Murphy as the Joker
Shia Labeouf as Robin
As a good new up and coming star, Shia should make a good Robin in this film but not so sure about Eddie as the Joker, not a huge fan of his. I am a huge fan of Batman movies, and Love the Dark Knight series. Just not sure where this will turn if this is who has been signed on.
Opions?
One online Source I found.

I heard Will Smith is replacing Heath Ledger as the new Joker. I also heard rumours that this movie entered post-production before Heath Ledger passed away. ![]()

I dont think any of that will happen. They have tried really hard to get away from the "cartoony" Batman...I just dont see how eddie murphy or shia (of all people) would help.
I still haven't seen the original Dark Knight movie
*prepares to be flamed*
I heard that Johnnie Depp was proposed the Riddler role? I think it was even in National Post or something

This is the dumbest thread ever.
First of all, writer director Christopher Nolan isn't even signed on for the 3rd one. Second of all, there's no script...not even a first draft so these rumours of people being cast for a movie with no script or any thought put into part 3 is all bs.
Everyone saying I heard this guy is going to be the Riddler or this person is going to be Robin is bs as well, because it's all people speculating...it's not people coming directly from Warner Brothers or DC.
Nolan has repeatedly said in his version of Gotham City there is no place for Robin or the Penguin. He wants the rebooted Batman series to be more darker and reality based. So anyone who is talking about Robin or Batman or any casting right now is smoking crack.
As for the 2010 release date, that will be next to impossible for it to come out on time. There's a 3 year gap between these movies for a reason...it takes years to make them.
sorry to get you so upset
my source - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/new...atman-film.html
that was quoted by National Post..
So I make dumb threads.
I googled it and more than just the SUN came up.
Honestly, who cares?
It was just a point for discussion.

| British tabloid The Sun reports that Eddie Murphy is a candidate to play the Riddler in Christopher Nolan's follow-up to The Dark Knight (due in 2010). The rumor, now added to the one that has Johnny Depp in the role, is unconfirmed by everyone other than The Sun, which is not the most reliable source for movie news. |
