amazing painter. Opener for the blue man group.
i saw the blue man group awhile back and the guy totally made everyone go nuts when he did this painting. (watch the full thing. amazing painter.)
Incredible.
I will admit, I did some fast forwarding...but only shit...WOW. That guy has extreme talent. I would definitely buy one of his paintings if I had the money. In fact, I would love for him to paint a mural in my house or something.
Amazing painter? Nah, not 'amazing'. But his presentation is fantastic. Awesome entertainment value.
His work is great, not that amazing with out the performance though. Considering Speed, and the doing it on the spot it is quite miraculous nonetheless. I wonder how much preparation goes into that?

My jaw dropped when he flipped the painting over. Unreal!
That was dope. It would be dopamine if he lit the painting on fire after he was done as part of the finale. Excellent presentation.
thanks!!
i think his works were going for $1500 at the show. He did 4 paintings. jimmy, konye west, Bono and the blue man group. His name is David Garibaldi. Real high energy. here he is doing Bono

| Originally posted by Owen M He was the first graff artist in canada to do 3d letter styled graffiti. A bit full of himself, yes, but he has the talent and the catalog to back it up. edit: you can't see the piece he was refering to either. The top of it pokes out a bit. There's other pieces gone over it. |
What did you see in the 80's? the piece he was talking about? or 3d letter styles?
Daim is credited to create the first "3 dimensional" graffiti letter style and he didn't even begin writting until 1989...I'm not sure when he began creating 3d letter styles, but it probably wasn't until the early 90's. He's also from Hamburg, Germany....did you see it in Germany?
You didn't see full 3d letter styles in the 80's. No one did.
Duro3 (the guy in the video) was also the first canadian writter to adapt to a 3d letter style. That piece is covered up was propably the first wall piece with a 3d letter style.
You can't arugue that. It's like saying grand wizard theodor didn't invent scratching, or alexander grahm bell didn't invent the phone.
the writing is on the wall...literally.
I'm not saying he's talented. His style is cut sharp and very real looking similar to what would be expected only a computer could do. Props to him. But the origins goes back before him. He may have made graffitti sharper, but no way was he the first.
