Centre speakers/Subwoofer - good idea for a dj setup?
Hi,
I was just wondering what do people think of using a centre speaker or subwoofer as a compliment to your standard speakers for a dj setup? Reckon it's better for mixing?
I have a pair of JBL speakers and was just wondering would it be better to have a centre speaker or subwoofer in the middle. I just have no idea if this really would make a difference
Thanks
Having or not having a sub makes no difference for mixing. It makes a difference for the people listening to the mix, but not for the DJ. Actually a few places I've played at were setup very poorly, so the subwoofers gave me a little bit of trouble with feedback and delay making it even tougher to mix.
Thanks Zild, i just wasn't sure if having a centre speaker would be better so you could hear the mix quicker than from the L&R speakers, ie being able to rectify your mixes quicker if the record starts to slip out.
