Sign of the times folks... I got so much recorded on video tapes... like 3 milk crates full of them I saved over the years... Ya know how much a pain in the ass it will be getting everything converted to DVD?

What VHS tapes are you still hanging on to?

lol. out of the blue

my landlady's like 50. a bit too wrinkly and rancid for my taste

I still have an unbelievable amount of tapes filled with tv specials/sitcoms etc

Don't even get me started about my dad's psychotic collection of VHS's. He used to record his operas and shows straight from the telly, and even went as far as "pausing" the tape during commercials. Now since we've evolved with the times, he's now starting to "re-record" his collection of 686002895486293 VHS's into DVD's...
fuck

I've had the original pressing of Jackie chans "The drunken master" i found at my grandmas for like 5yrs. i wanna sample ti but i need to convrt it to dvd but i can't get around to it not to mention my 113 rave cassetes from '95-'03 b4 those go obsolete.

i wish i could pay someone to do it cheap i just don't feel like doing it myself.

VHS?

Posted by UmmiE on Dec-23-2008 16:01:

The biggest benefit of VHS was that even if you watch it soo many times it somehow worked always......with cds or dvds they freaking get scratched or start skipping.

you mean to tell me your fuckin bald melon doesnt make u feel old enough? or that you're in your mid 30's having a mid life crisis still trying to hangon to your youth by attending the guv and promoting whack clubs???

and vhs is what reminded you that you're old? That was the nail in the coffin for you?!?

maybe if we all spoke a language you understood and photochopped a cane on your humpty dumpty body, you would have realized this earlier

Do you remember how you could change the VCR setting to NTSC and hide the video and sound ..... so that if someone who should see it doesnt get to see anything because that would scramble everything from video to sound on the VHS

I switched most of mine over already throughout the years. There are the odd concert VHS tapes that I still have, but that is about it.
