warehouse and mucho dub are still both good, but the lithium dub is just so funky!

Really enjoyed these, might pick them up in my holiday cart.

Don't like any of these, Tiger Stripes haven't done anything good in a while imo.

He's a radio slave rip off. I like his remixes of Aria and Sunshine though

Posted by Clovis on Dec-24-2008 18:54:

I don't hear anything remotely radio slave in any of his productions.

+1

and i don't really see the awesomeness in lithium dub for some reason, it sounds like everything else out now :-/

Listen to his remix of Aria. If you dont hear Radio Slave in there then I cannot help you

Edit: specifically the repetive under-dub and gastric "pssht" releases

Posted by Clovis on Dec-24-2008 20:25:

Yeah I see it a little bit in Aria but thats about it, and even then its in the undertones because the track as a whole is far too "full" to sound like Radio Slave.

And thats 1 track, going through the discography you'd be hard fucking pressed to call him a radio slave rip-off.

Tiger Stripes' latest work sounds too commercial

Posted by elFreak on Dec-24-2008 21:52:

no like, paint by numbers.

Posted by Adam420 on Dec-24-2008 22:23:

I think he's had a pretty good year. I liked his remixes of If You Wouldn't Mind, Aria and Ide. Nothing But Love really sucked, however, and Black in My Soul and Warrior are nothing special.

Posted by Seppuku on Dec-24-2008 22:37:

Its a decent track, but nothing special. I used to like a lot of the stuff Tiger Stripes put out but lately I just can't feel it.

Re-he-heaaallly. Lets see then. Lets look at this one:

Tiger Stripes - Blackroom Entertainment (September 2008)

Now lets look at Radio Slave - Grindhouse Tool (March 2008)

Shall I continue? For fuck sake, they could be the same guy

Posted by Clovis on Dec-25-2008 02:23:

Yeah, not really. With similarities that vague I think most of electronic music could be the same guy.

I dont expect you to admit that you're wrong. I know your TA pride prevents this. But you can secretly think to yourself, damn that Mark Anthony guy knows his shit. It'll be our little secret.

You know, the confidence in that reply was A+. Good job.

But, I think you're full of shit here though, and my overall opinion of you is that you generally like good music but still don't know your shit, as evidenced by claims in this thread and elsewhere.
