NYC TA's - Question (Help Myra beat the weather!)

Can any of you link me to a decipherable map/schedule for trains, and/or recommend other transport options for getting Myra from JFK to Grand Central tonight?

Any help is appreciated.

the cheapest way to go is the air train from jfk to the A train and then transfer onto 4,5,6 at Atlantic avenue.

Edit: Heres another and maybe a quicker option (i found this on yahoo answers)

Step 1: take the Airtrain from the terminal to Jamaica Station. Make sure you listen for the announcement "Station D: Jamaica Station. The fare for the Airtrain is $5, which you pay when exit the Airtrain system at Jamaica Station.

Step 2: at Jamaica Station, transfer to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR). Take any eastbound train from Jamaica Station to Penn Station. The fare is $7.25 one way peak/$5.25 one way off peak. If you're taking the LIRR on the weekends, the fare is $3.25 one way.

Step 3: at Penn Station, transfer to the New York City Subway. Take the uptown (northbound) #1, 2 or 3 subway lines (Red Line on the subway map) from Penn Station to Times Square.

Step 4: at Times Square, transfer upstairs to the 42nd Street Shuttle (Black Line). Take the Shuttle from Times Square to Grand Central.

Step 5: at Grand Central, exit the subway into the Grand Central Terminal.

tell her not to be a jew and pay for a cab

cab is $45 flat fare

She needs to get to Grand Central, not Penn.

I think she's taking the Airtrain to Jamaica, transferring to the E train until Lexington, and taking the 6 to Grand Central.

ha u should have made a thread earlier...i was at JFK to pick some relative up and drop em to the city

Take the JFK AirTrain from John F Kennedy Airport station heading to Jamaica Station
Get off at Sutphin/Jamaica Station

Take the E train from Sutphin Blvd - Archer Av station heading Downtown
Get off at Lexington Av / 53 St

Take the 6 train from 51 Street station heading Downtown / to Brooklyn Bridge - City Hall
Get off at 42 Street - Grand Central

so yea what she's doing already

ditto.

anyone get to ride the new E train yet(i.e 6 train look a like)
A few weeks ago at 51/lex I saw one roll thru but it was not an operating train for passengers. This past Monday at 42nd was an actual one that did the stops. Newer but def fits less people than the older ones which are alright with me.
