I currently have crappy crappy computer speakers that don't even plug into an AC jack, just into the headphone port. So, I won't be listening to this for a couple days. Thanks for the heads up

Thx for everyone who gave it a go

just got through this. first impressions are that there is - in fact - a lot of funk through out this set. i remember bits of piano at the beginning. there was even a light disco flavor in the first 15-20 minutes (i didn't have the tracklist with me to spot which one it was). a lot of natural bass-guitar too - which is just rarely produced anymore but sounds so good.
towards the middle it got a little more "progelectro". which by no means was bad - still keeping in line with the "disco" feeling.
the last half hour came into deep house and was definitely my favorite. i'll have to comb over the tracklist and pick out some goodies for myself later on - especially the last tune - the pads on it were great.

thank you for sharing. now all that disco-styling made me want to do some blow

i listened to this after the recent add2basket proton set.
each set was like a re-envisioning of the other.

i liked it!

fav track was Victoria Jam of course.

I just started listening to this, I'll leave a comment when I'm finished. Really digging it so far, as I did with your previous work. I love this kind of music.

Denys thanks for your review. I wanted to balance this set as far as track selection goes. A little bit of deep, some proggy/techy elements but as always maintaining the overall disco/funk house vibe and I hope I succeded.

Looks delicious.

I got to listen to the first 10 or so minutes of your mix after Denys' today while driving back from the doctor's office. First two tracks were groovy, just as expected. I'll post a more detailed review later once I listen to it all the way.

agreed.

good shit, SebQ. i just threw this on at work and forgot that Telesto was in the tracklist. it was a nice little surprise. i can't really comment on the transitions since i can never pay 100% attention but the track selection was great - definitely satisfies my urge for the disco funk!

Really liked the set man, you already know how much I love the funky stuff. Intro track was great, works wonders to set the mood for the rest of the set. I'm feeling a bit iffy about some of the mixes though.

For example, the mix into "Everything's Alright" felt a bit rushed. This is just IMO, but I think you could've ridden on "Blue Dub" a bit longer and allow the tracks to blend longer for a smoother transition. Another one is the mix into "Love on the Line", which started great, with a nice blending of both tracks. But I think you rushed it a bit again and took out the outgoing track too soon. Again, this is only my personal opinion

Then, one transition that I specially liked and actually had me smiling was the one from "Gentle" into "Landslide". I think you let it sneak in at just the perfect time and allowed the tracks to blend fantastically. I'm absolutely in love with "Landslide" from the first time I heard it; it's definitely the best cut in the "Port Maria EP" but somehow I've heard everyone play "Diyisi" instead.

Regarding the tracklisting, I thought it was superb. This is exactly the kind of sound I've always liked and which sadly is getting hard to come by these days. I've heard some of the tracks before and it was nice listening to them mixed together. The standout track for me was definitely "Lunatic", it has a 2005-2006 Luke Fair-Desyn Masiello vibe. It's just sick man.

This already had repeated listens from me and I can assure you it will get many more. Hope to hear a new mix from you soon
