i will have to agree with Riccardo at Metropolis.
And Gregor at the beach for Toronto.
The fact that I ended up taking care of Riccardo was so fucking fun.
Riccardo is an animal. I still have the video from the afterparty
at that weird house.

That was utter madness. PvD @ KH. Wow.

Howells @ Footwork was GREAT as well.
A lot of the techier parties were fun but don't remember specific ones. I think I was at Burridge at Footwork but had to leave early, still a great show.

Outside of TO:

Partying with my cousins at Guaba beach bar in Limassol, (just outside) Cyprus for free getting blitzed and swimming in the medittaranean while Universal Nation is pumping. Listening to Josh Gabriel, Johan Gielen and Dave Seaman all for free for 3 consecutive Sundays in a row.

(1) Loco Dice - Rock the Boat
- holy fucking fun in the sun, incredible drugged out tech w/ Dice B2B w/ Roaches WOWOWOW, the boat went off a solid 5 or 6 times... really good crew that day too..

(2) Danny Howells @ Footwork
- unbelievably well programmed set from Howells + best club vibe of the year...

(3) Freedom @ Guvernment w/ Morillo
- EPIC EPIC party at Guv wow... every room was going off at full pin... summer partying done right at Guvvy

I think I only went to 3 or 4 parties in all of 2008, so I would have to agree you Gera. These are the ones that stick out in my mind.

- DEMF --- nothing stands out in particular, cos it was all good, but i do remember especially wishing that i wasn't crippled during richie hawtin's set.

honorable mentions (not because i was blown away by anyone's technical brilliance or track selection, but because i had a lot of fun at both events and that's what's been lacking for me in this "scene" as of late):

- Box of Kittens in Dec
- Milkrun Labour Day weekend

did i go to anything else good? i don't think so...

2008 was the year of being underwhelmed in general by most events.

Davide Squillace at the Zone on Canada Day is up there for me as well.

That was a highlight for me party-wise this year as well, along with Monegros and I Love Techno for a variety of reasons! Gorod club in Moscow on my birthday was also a treat.
Now I am excited for the last party of the year - Awakenings tomorrow.. hehe

I told myself i would see him again and thought my only chance was WMC.. all shows in miami were sold out and nobody could get in.

Sasha @ Guv - the 5am-645am span was so mental! Sasha working ableton on the fly and it was madness!!
