Waves Bundles .. Which one ?

Im looking to purchase a good allround eq pack and don't know which one to get .. all of them are probally very similiar, but the waves bundles seem to be the most talked about and used. So I checked out the waves website .. there is so many options and packs im completly lost which one to choose .. first off I have between 200 - 300 to spend. Would like some advice from someone with experience in using any of these bundles to point me in the right direction ! or does any one have any recommendations on ones they have used in the past .... Thanks

The waves Q10 and the REQ6 are quality eq, but you need iLOK (like many others) to make them work.
Honestly, I would recommend that you try out other stuff first.
In addition to logics built in eqs, I have bought apulsoft apeq.
For me its one of the best eq Ive heard so far. It certainly will hold its own
compared to other eqs many times its cost.
It has the best interface Ive seen, and its up to 64 band, if you wish.
It also has up to 4x oversampling, to make the eq as smooth as possible.
Up to 48db/oct for really tight cutoffs.

It depends on what kind of eq you want. I just want an eq that removes
whatever I want it to remove, without adding "colour".
So for 49euro its hard to beat.

Ive downloaded Eiosis Air eq demo, to see how it sounds like.
But for 200euro, it must sound REALLY good for me to purchase it.

I have an ilok as I am running the Soundtoys bundle so thats not a problem .. I just dont want to be paying out a lot of money for something that I can get for a fraction of the money .. Im also running Logic 8 and the eq's are good but I need that wee bit extra in certain aspects. thanks for your thoughts !

Was looking into this bundle http://www.waves.com/content.aspx?id=262 any one have it or have experience with any of the plugins included ... can pick it up for around 250.00 or is they cheaper options with more or less the same result !

the waves eqs sound good (and not top notch). but i wouldn't buy them for that much money imho there are better options available.

check the sonnox eq.(http://www.sonnoxplugins.com/pub/pl...products/eq.htm)

i would download a few eqs and try them in a real project to see how they work for you. can yo get faster to the end result with the eq and makes it sense to buy?!

So, if you downloaded it, well, how does it sound? I have looked at this plug many times but, never tried it.

Logics au validator seems to crash when trying validate it.
Ill have a try later on, maybe I can get it to work.

I'd get the SSL, API, and JJP bundles. All you need. The SSL is my favorite. Very unique and the EQs have such a nice character.

SSL, API and JJP ... are these Oxford products or waves ?

overpriced

Unless you intend to have people use your studio and expect the package, i would look for alternatives.

Waves

Look into other options IMO. Often the EQ that comes with DAWs is good enough, for extra flavour you could look at a SSL/API/Pultec emulation. Waves isn't going to do anything that special really. Sonalksis do a great bread and butter EQ that I rate very highly.

I really like the Renaissance bundle, especially the Ren Channel, Reverb, and De-Esser. The iLok doesn't bother me. That said, I agree with many others here that you can do as well or better for less money by looking elsewhere. I've never tried the Sonnox stuff, but it does look nice, as does the Wave Arts plugins. The Voxengo plugins that I've used are very nice, at a fraction of the price of the Waves plugs.
