So, PS3 jerks...?

Other than the obvious (MGS4, Uncharted, LBP), any hidden gems for PS3 or on the PSN worth looking at?

And yes, months later I can say that for all of it's shortcomings (of which there are many), MGS4 is a fun movie to watch.

For moments it's also an incredibly fun and/or incredibly shit game to play, but overall so far it's been worth it.

Wipeout HD. Trance goes great with the game and you can add your own custom soundtrack to the PS3 hard drive.

Make sure you get component or HDMI cables so you can play it in 1080P

Wipeout HD is fantastic, definitely go with that if you haven't checked it out already.

Calling All Cars! was a game created by the guy behind God of War, never played it myself, but I hear it was good.

Everyday Shooter is very well-done: a music-oriented shooter that is awesome to listen to and fun to watch.

I really need to go play little big planet I have yet to play it *hides*

Anyways heres my review of Ncaa

Ncaa

Presentation
Presentation is great, menus and and background screens look perfect with football related real photos. (9/10)

Graphics
First of all 720 p ? Seriously come on with that crap. Sure the team and players look "good" but the background reminds me of playing tecmo football on NES. Lines are some what blocky and rain looks like blue sticks falling straight down. (8.23/10)

Sound
If you set it up right the music and sound in this game is awesome. Sure bands playing their fight songs is great but the best part is adding your own music. For Miami stadium I pretty much grabbed the tracks they play most at the games. "Darth Vader soundtrack song" "Zombie Nation" "Trick Daddy" the list can go on. (10/10)

Gameplay
Sliders is a must. If you dont play with sliders its pointless AI will be bumping off you and your players will play like retards. Overall player interaction is solid with the most hated of all "magnetic properties" When will they fix that? (8.11/10)

Lasting Appeal
This game is Jekyl and Hyde at one moment you'll be jumping for joy another crawled up in the fetal position crying. And it doesnt get much better then that game keeps you hooked while giving you the hope that next years version will be that much better. As a fan since 99 this is what does it for me. (9.59/10)

Overall : 8.986

Ok so do any of u experience glitches and lockups/errors when installing and starting a PSN source game? I just bought WipEout HD and downloaded megaman 9 demo. Both downloaded fine and installed, but the controller does not work at all. WipEout locks up on the Seizure warning screen and megaman starts but there is no controller function to start the damn game. WTF Sony! I have tried a USB keyboard, the Blu-Ray remote and the controller...nothing works when I start these games, but works fine when playing movies and when scrolling around in the menu, with all the input devices.

Strange...

I've never heard of that happening before. Browse the Sony troubleshooting website or forum and see if there are any other people with similar experiences to yours.

Pixel Junk Eden

I don't usually like these kind of small games but got hooked on this after playing the demo and haven't regretted buying the full version from PSN. Pretty nice soundtrack as well (sort of minimalistic house/techno).

Tekken: Dark Resurrection is also a pretty good PSN title if you like fighting games.

Welp, guess the problem solved itself. Weird to say the least, but I guess it's a non-issue now.

Downloaded the demo for Valkyria and Eternal Sonata...so far I was kinda feeling Eternal Sonata a bit more. Valkyria has a strange setup compared to other RPG's. Not sure if I'll like it. I'll play around with it some more and see if it grows on me

Just as a warning (based on playing through the 360 version), Eternal Sonata may start out initially very promising, but it gets BAD quickly. I'm a big fan of RPGs (just check my icon out!), but ES stands out on my mind for being extra bad. The story dissolves into nonsense, the combat which initially appears fun becomes repetitive button-mashing (and the difficulty level is simple), there are only like 7 or 8 different types of enemies with a ton of palette swaps of each, the dungeons are nothing more than linear paths with a few forks leading to treasure.
