Bas or Baz?

How does the c0r pronounce Bassel's name? With an 's' or with a 'z' sound?

Tricia and I agreed that if his parents wanted people to call him Baz, they should have just spelled it with a 'z'.

Can't say as I've ever had a reason to say it out loud, but when I say it "in my head" it's a hard "S" as in "ass".

Z for Bas simply cos people from my area tend to say Z sounds. didn't realise it til people remarked, bus (buz) etc.
