Question Is your music studio in your bedroom?

Is your music studio in your bedroom? And if so why?

Posted by Vortex_SA on Jan-04-2009 20:17:

cause thats the only room i have, im renting it

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Jan-04-2009 20:17:

Yes. Because I don't have room for it elsewhere. Sometimes I wish I could afford to have a room full of just music gear, including a computer just for music, and nothing else.

Residing with the parents at the moment, so rebuilding my music set-up slowly in the only spare room in the house : the glass conservatory, and as you can imagine, is pretty awful for room acoustics and sound-dampening when monitoring/EQ'ing.

However, it's the only free space in the house until I get my own place again. It'll have to do

Yes, we don't have any extra rooms to turn one into a strict studio room, my room is comfortable, so nothing else makes sense.

Plus when I'm banging chicks on my bed sometimes I like to look at my keyboard.. it turns me on. =]

(that was a joke ftr)

Well it's better than a mirror on your ceiling over the bed.

Not even porn? lol

I've always tried to have a dedicated room for a studio. It does help. But there were times when I just had 1 room and I made due. Some of my favorite material happened durring the time I was stuck in a little room with barely any space to move.

I have a seperate room now for my studio. Unfortunately my old bedroom sounded way tighter and now I'm having a hard time to get my mixes balanced right.

Posted by noicuc on Jan-05-2009 13:35:

Mine is in the room too , cuz my computer is in the room , so lol..

Posted by BshidoHEAT on Jan-05-2009 16:30:

Yea mine is in my room as well

Posted by Zild on Jan-05-2009 17:28:

Wow more of us have a dedicated studio than I thought would.

Posted by Waza on Jan-05-2009 17:34:

Mines is in the spare bedroom but i'm tucked away in a corner as it has a double bed for guests so i can't set it up the way i want it
But on the bright side if i can afford more gear then i will make the double bed into a single and have plenty of space. lol I wish.

Thank God mine isn't in my room!

My room isn't heated (well, there's an electric heater on the wall but I hate those) nor cooled. I live in Canada so temperature varies between -40 and +40 haha

I <3 my basement studio.
