TOM C.O.S.M (NZ)

If you haven't yet heard of Tom C.O.S.M you've got a lot of catching up to do. His manic bass lines and classy as funk beats have see him recently return from a tour of Brazil & Many other places. Having played Interview in early 2008 he shook the walls of miss libertines with his original jams we are really looking forward to Toms Second appearance, His live shows are second to none and encompass a brilliantly unique blend of almost all genres imaginable. Despite the fact that his productions are some of the finest coming out of our part of the globe Tom gives away his music for free, shunning the labels, relying on word of mouth to spread his message and it appears to be working! My favourite memory from last year's cruise was watching some guy sitting down and fishing off the very tip of the Williamstown breakwater, with a gigantic pelican standing behind him, eating fish out of his bucket

And everyone on the boat yelling "Storm Boy!! Storm Boy!!"

Haha classic!! Love it. I think it's your expression that really makes it, Ben :P

The last boat party was mad, definitely going to bring back the sailors hat for this one! Glad it's on Valentine's Day too, means I'll actually get to do something with the bloke this year

Child (Tribal Vision)

Brought up by a pack of wolves in the siberian tundra, for the first 12 years of Child's life he could communicate only through a series or grunts and growls. Rescued by hissidic jewish explorers who went on to become his adopted parents, Child was introduced to classical folk music quickly adopting the glockenspiel and the tambourine. Through these tools and an old commodore 64 computer he was able to devise a system which enabled him to finally communicate with the outside world and thus the reclusive veil, which was previously his life, was finally lifted. A talented producer of all things techno, Child was brought on to the Melbourne division of Derrick May's Hi Tek Soul from which he was able to firmly establish himself in the Australian techno community.

Child has had the privelege to play at a number of the majour festivals locally and internationally sharing the stage with a diverse array of the worlds greatest electronic acts including Shpongle, Extrawelt / Midimilliz, Groove Armada, Funk D'void, Luke Vibert, Infected Mushroom, Raja Ram, Lucas, Justin Martin and many others.

Child is a welcome addition to the Tribal Vision family with the upcoming My Two Minds EP which has Already gained massive praise from the likes of Carl Cox, Shpongle, Adam K and Funk D'void to name a few. The album is a mixture of delectable psychedelic percussion, emotional melodies built on a four-four techno foundation with bits and bobs drawn from too many inspirations to list.

Child will be playing his brand new set on the boat cruise with his electronic boundary-less live show (based on the Heading Home L.P) designed to melt your cerebral cortex and leave you smiling for a long time to come.

Am I behind the times? When did he start DJing under that name? I've only seen him play once before, it should be interesting to see where he's at now.

Really? Does he have any tunes released yet? I have some of his tracks from when he first started producing (circa 2006) and they are fucking ace.
