if you want to initiate some sort of semi-rational, academic debate on the exact nature and extent of the Holocaust, fine. people can bring there legitimate sources to the table.

starting off with a poll that asks such a broad (and ridiculous) question "was the Holocaust real" is not the same thing.

whats the point whether its 1 or 100 million its still a crime against humanity.

btw the 4.6-6 mill estimated Jewish killed does not include the 5+ million others like russians, poles, homosexuals, etc...

Agreed.

I in no way discredit the fact that it was a horrible event. But I am more looking at it in the sense that it may have been over exaggerated and not looked into enough with respect to possible over exaggerations.

I do truly believe that something did happen and many people lost their lives. All I am wondering is, is there still more to discover?

The only other person i have ever known to ask this question on the first day of class was mocked and laughed out, and while watching this movie eventually broke down into tears with the vast majority of us and changed his beliefs of this event realizing how big of a douche he was... so cheers hope it helps
