Rumour has it a company is going to release their first vsti , and the co. begins with A, but it's not Access apparently

Check Fxpansion also as they are releasing some new synths, one is called Strobe and has been beta tested by the Mau5 among others. It uses the ideas behind their free Orca plugin.

Alesis? Access, Alesis, Arturia are the only three synth manufacturers that start with A.

There's been some speculation that may be Akai.

Akai? It'll probably just a sampler, then. Or maybe a nice ROMpler?

I'd like a (well priced)Moog RM synth, whether it will happen soon, who knows

My hope as well. A Little Phatty RME should be released... they practically have to compete with DSI's MoPho. It's the most popular synth on Sweetwater at the moment... DSI can't keep up with demand.

I'll be there on Sat / Sunday. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the items discussed here.

How are Ableton's synths anyway? For some reason I never really hear anything about them.

Nord 3X would be intriguing. Are there legitimate rumours about this, or is this just hopeful speculation? Also, when the Wave was announced, Clavia indicated that there would be a rackmount version released within a few months, but that never materialized. I wonder if they'll ever release that or if the seemingly sluggish response to the Wave caused them to scrap it. Either way, it will be interesting to see which direction Clavia goes with the Nord Lead/Wave series.

Wish they held stuff like this in the UK

Even if they did this, it probably wouldn't have the kick-ass interface. I think that's one of the reasons they scrapped the NL3, because of ROHS compliance (containing no lead -- meaning the element Pb) it became too complex to manufacture.

Posted by alanzo on Jan-13-2009 18:51:

Or in the least, that's why the interface on the Nord Wave is a step back to the Nord Lead 2. Why they removed Unison, I have no idea. Those two factors coupled with the outrageous price = no one wants.

I actually WON'T be there this year. Would have liked to, seeing as how I now work for Event/Rode. Just too busy with production/shipping right now. That's okay though, since we did a big launch in Las Vegas.

Let us know about Ableton track folders.... the thing I totally flubbed on last year. Oh... and try and have a conversation with the Fruity Loops guys. It's fun.

NI is coming out with Maschine, a hardware/software hybrid MPC style product.
