DEMF 10 yr HYPE & INFO Thread !
DEMF was INSANE last year. This year I expect the madness to double cuz it is the 10 year anniversary.
So yeah - I am starting this because the COR (majority of DEMF party goers last year) have started talking about it and a majority of us have our main hotel.
We are trying to do a "TA hotel" for you guys that want to join along. We are staying at the Rennaisance Marriot (it is literally right next to the venue) .
You have the luxury to go in and out as you please (no using dirty port-o-potties) and at night when it gets cool you can grab your jacket upstairs.
I am staying there Sat & Sun.. I figure I will do a cheap priceline hotel for Monday because I just need a place to hold my bags & shower before I leave.
HYPE!! Soooooooooo much fun. A few NE TA's were out in full effect.
Hope more come along this year!
For those that have never been-
Detroit is a GHOST TOWN that weekend. It's just a working city so the Weekend (day time) is pretty dead.
You kinda want to be as close to the venue as possible and try not to book a hotel in Windsor Canada - Crossing the border is not wort the hassle just for a cheap hotel.
So.. yeah - Not much transportation so definitely want to be walking distance from the festival and *some* of the after parties.

I didn't know it was their 10 year 
. At The Bunker on New Year's Eve I had a chat with a girl who's been to every single DEMF except the first one 
. Will probably begin booking buses/flights/hotel sometime in late February after making the move to Bk. Will probably book in that hotel as well (or else in the GM building). The hotel we stayed in last year was too TOO far away, especially in an eerie city like Detroit. Can't imagine what the lineup will be like this year 
Well the sooner the better (especially since I am also doing WMC) 
This way the TA's can be even closer together!!
Yeah dude - last year was the 9th annual.. I was like "o man.. next year should be massive for 10 year". I really do hope they do something biggER! Not missing it at all!
If u stay - 3 nights might be too much money but atleast stay for the main first 2 nights. Those are the most fun days anyways.

Beatport stage was hot fiyah last year!!!!!! Main stage too - DBX totally killed it with his live spooky shit.
Omg. Demf is a crazy experience! Can't wait for round 2!

That is THE absolute sketch of the sketchiest venue-filled people.

fri - tues for me
I'm trying to stay at the Courtyard again, but it's not showing up on Marriott's site 
much prefer it over the Renaissance, it's just as close, but without the hassle of trying to navigate your way through the three towers, shopping mall, and 5 billion separate elevators of the RenCen, which can be particularly frustrating after being up for 36 hours

I would maybe be interested in going for the long weekend. I have never been so it would be nice to change things up and get out of town...

I booked it in freakin MARCH last year and it still had tons of rooms.
either something else is going on that weekend as well, or DEMF is fuckin blowing up with obnoxious scenesters this year

I was looking forward to staying there. So much more of a trek getting in and out of the GM building, though their rooms are pretty pretty dope..

It would make sense that pahaxu booked that hotel. Demf hype doesn't really start this early.
Anyways - this festival is def fuking pretty cheap and sooo much fun.
I literally planned it 4-6 weeks before the festival and was able to pay for it all and for 2 ppl!
Def looking forward to meeting a few new TA's .. I think I already know the majority of the demf gang from last year.
