Brain Music

Has anyone ever tried music made specifically to stimulate or relax the brain?

I was curious about this as I love playing brain games and did a search. One of the better sites I found was LucidQuest http://www.lucidquest.com

All you do is sign up (for free) and get access to a selection of songs that are supposed to help you with relaxation and concentration. I meditate every morning and the meditation one is very nice in the background!

Anyone else have any good experiences with finding similiar sites online and what do you guys think of brain music?

I looked into imusic but don't own a credit card so can't order unfortunately

This will be an interesting topic to write a paper on in the near future. I tried the deep meditation one again and it really seemed to enhance my meditation this morning. Woke up, pulled up the covers and had my headphones on before I let the thoughts flood in for the day and at around 8 mins I felt like I was out of the body and more in my head...very light and airy. I've been able to achieve deep relaxation with breathing alone but never a state like that! Now I feel very refreshed and ready to start the day
