Good budget Headphones?

I know this has been asked recently - and the majority of people said the AKG240 - but its a little out of my price range.

I am in the UK - and have about 50 to spend.

Anyone recommend any good headphones for production (which I intend to use alongside my monitors)

And more importantly - where to find them.

Cheers guys

Why would you want headphones for production that aren't any good?

Because, if you can get a mix to sound good on a bad pair of headphones, then it will pretty much sound great on a big club system!

Of course you might not be able to hear it on the club system, by the time you're finished mixing it on a bad pair of head-phones.

I wouldnt - thats why I asked for people to recommend some good ones.

If you have nothing of any value to add - take your smart arse comments to the Humour / Funny Stuff Forum

Oh, thats right - they wouldnt be welcome there either

I guess we have different underlying assumptions.

Good headphones are not budget headphones.

Sony V6!

Been using these forever, and they're awesome (and cheap)..

Honestly, cheap headphones does work.. you shouldnt mix on headphones anyways, just refer to them.

I disagree... If you have an accurate set, you'll be just fine for mixing. You'll likely be less accurate on the real low stuff, below 60 hz, but if you don't have a real snazzy monitoring environment, you'll be inaccurate there as well. A good set of headphones can work very well, up to a point.
