Me + 11.

Posted by Monocle on Jan-15-2009 18:56:

Hah wanted to tell you about this but you weren't on msn... I knew you'd jizz your pants. Cool though that Ottawa gets him and he doesn't even get booked in MTL. lolz. I'm for sure going, that shit's gonna be massive

Posted by Spin Laden on Jan-15-2009 18:57:

too bad! I'll be in Van next month golfing

Posted by Ravemontreal on Jan-15-2009 18:58:

He is so good right now... is live at Space Sound in November is the shit. But isn't he really, really dark and hard for an Heaven event?

Posted by Delroy on Jan-15-2009 19:08:

If he is in Ottawa on the 13th, why not bring him to MTL on the 14th...Circus?

Posted by RayRayy on Jan-15-2009 19:09:

People are juss excited that he's coming to Ottawa..Dubfire stuff won't sound good on that sound system.

Posted by Monocle on Jan-15-2009 19:15:

Yeah it would be really cool to get him at circus for an afterhours.. but hey what can you do. And I don't fuckin care about the system, at least we booked him here and I don't have to drive to mtl or TO. Solid ass booking from the heaven crew... Roger Sanchez coming too next wednesday but dunno if I'll check that out....

Posted by Delroy on Jan-15-2009 19:16:

According to his Myspace, Dubfire is available on the 13th. That would make one hell of a Valentines day party...Circus?

I fucking care. Listening to Dubfire's tech-house/minimal sound needs a good sound system. Just my opinion.

Yeah I mean ideally, I would love it on a killer system, but I'll take what I can get when it comes to bookings in this city and this will be a sweet party no matter

as RayRay said it won't sound good (f'n heaven shit system)

however, this is a massive booking, and will go for sure

at what time do you think he would play?

and please tell me more about heaven. What type of crowd, capacity, vibe, girls/guys ratio, average age.

thanks

Posted by acronym on Jan-16-2009 19:17:

I'd imagine he'd come on at Midnight. Headliners at Heaven normally do AFAIK. I find the crowd's always pretty varied. I don't think it's heavy on any particular stereotype (not many gynos, not many big bodybuilder types with the barbie girlfriends, etc). Capacity is around 400, girl/guy ratio depends on the night and the headliner, don't really know what kind of crowd Dubfire will draw. Average age is probably around 22-23 I think. But there are definitely people there in their early 30s, and people there as young as 18 (though never many, like 2 or 3).

Posted by Monocle on Jan-16-2009 19:48:

Yeah he'll probably hop on by 1230 and the rest of what he said is pretty accurate, though it does really depend on the night. Not too sure what kinda crowd dubfire's gonna draw cause I don't even know if heaven's seen this genre of music before... but personally I like the crowd... usually quite friendly and like he said limited amounts of ginos and jocks which suits me just fine. girls/guys is pretty even usually.

However like some said, the sound system is lacking a bit so if that's very important to you, keep it in mind.

skasians and sketchtacular at times too

place is two levels so upstairs u can get very close to Dubfire if u get VIP. Best area for sound is in the dancepit with the skasians or upstairs close to the dj.
