Unhappy US Airways Plane goes down in Hudson River

The plane is a US Airways flight 1549 from LaGuardia to Charlotte. There were 146 passengers on board the flight, along with 5 crew members. There is no report on their conditions.
The plane went down near 57th street. The plane took off from LaGuardia at 3:11 p.m.
Ferry's are rescuing passengers, some who are seen standing on the wings of the plane.

I just watched it float past me on 34th street, landed in the 50s I believe and its already way south of me now

looks like no one's hurt seriously. the plane's in good shape for a water landing -- great job by the pilot.

i saw this on the news when i was at the gym earlier but I was under the impression it landed north of the city, guess not. good thing it didnt crash in NY. one of my boys said he could see it floating down the river right from his window. nuts

imagine being a passenger in the cabin must have been terrifying i just came back from europe 2 weeks ago and experienced some of the worst turbulence i never been through anything like this. a few people started crying and losing control. I just put on Solar Factor - No Return and pulled through it. The pilot should be rewarded though he made smart move and kept composure glad no lives were lost.

when at work today here in charlotte at BOA, people in the groups of those who were notified via e-mail that 25 charlotte workers were on that plane.

Interestingly enough my sister was supposed to get on that very plane in charlotte to head to her home in ohio

That would be a little difficult considering the plane was bound for Seattle after Charlotte.
