I definitely would. Anyone know if the app will work with a Blackjack?

The PS3 only works with Bluetooth so you can't use a universal remote. I have to use a controller to operate the DVD player (or buy a Bluetooth remote). Using a controller isn't that bad, but using my phone would be even more convenient. I remember thinking you should be able to do that - now I guess you can.
