-- the inanguration of Barack Obama
the inanguration of Barack Obama
regardless of your political leanings, i hope everyone recognizes how momentous this occasion is. i'll be there tomorrow through tuesday -- i was able to snag tickets to the swearing-in ceremony via schumer's ticket lottery.
what're you guys doing for the ceremony?
OMG that is so totally awesome
My ass will be watching history on TV

wow i had no idea that chuck schumer was that fat...
Thankfully my entire building was wired on tuesday to get it on TV so we dont have to work for a few hours.
Was gonna go with my "mother-in-law" (since she is SUCH a political activist for civil rights, and is on the MOON right now)
. BUT for real, I must say I am a TAD nervous about being there.
Doubt anything will happen, but you never know with all the psycho f*ckheads out there who are pissed about this.
Chuck Schumer's seen better days...
well still i'll be at work sans tv.
guess i'll try to watch online
well if anyone cares to read, i ended up going to the parade instead of the inaugural swearing-in. media reports about troubles getting into reserved areas made me feel better about not going to the swearing-in. the bleachers i was at was only two blocks away from the white house, near the end of the parade route. i got a good view of the presidential motorcade there. DC was definitely pure madness. there were so many people and it felt like a huge block party.

i was also asked contributed to the daily news' blog, and have some pictures up there.
