I've always loved how I run my photo-blog, it is very quick, concise and the quality is all there.
But, for the past year, I've always wondered if I should think of a catchy business name/spinoff...

Sometimes it's hard for people to remember.. or you could butcher the URL and never find my site..
soltis, solstice, saltis, whatever.

kind of like chipa-topa-lay when you mean chipotle.. jack in the box anyone?

2YEARS later.. a lightbulb went off in my head.. so I changed it out with a CFL.
and I am happy to announce
WWW.NIGHTMOVES.ME
WWW.THENIGHTMOVES.ME

So, before Miami season, I will have shirts,flyers and free promo CD's from some of my favorite DJ's in the archive to support the site..

as my own sister domains..
same photoblog,same access to all the great weekly galleries.

Now you can say...

but i know what you mean davet... i over analyze and so i've been struggling to come up with a replacement to my domain for months (kng.dm was a domain i just happened to own from a previous project). i have dozens of pages of brainstormed name ideas... but i end up talking myself out of each one.

Update:

I just refreshed the templates on my entire blog, its way cleaner, searches are 10x faster with new ajax implementation and now I have proper tracking with google analytics so I can see pretty graphs on the server site.

and flickr toys are fun.

I was thinking of putting some of my pics on Flikr too but I hate how the images are so small and severely oversharpened (to the point where I notice some photographers have pics that look good in the thumbnail view, but if you go to the original, are out of focus).

Smugmug is OK, but it's more for a site replacement. Flickr is a bit more networking/extra spreading of your photos.

I think it might be a bit better than the old way; I won't have to rebuild the whole thing every update, I can constantly add pics, and they spread around groups too, so more exposure.

yeah, the flickr slideshow is nice and pretty much works out of the box. nice alternative to bananalbum, simpleviewer, etc.
