Anyone serve time?

By time I mean more than a day...more than a week at least
How was it for you? Perhaps we could share stories. What were you in for?
I'll begin: assault...beat up this wormy guy who kept bothering me.

Thanks

Did an hour or two in Rosarito, Mexico.

So in Puerto Villarta you can drink alcohol in the streets as long as it isn't in glass. Apparantly not in Rosarito.

Officer told me to go in the van. (wouldn't take my bribe)...slowly they put more people in the van. Had to take a leak...so took it in the corner of the van.

The van moved...there was a fight in the middle of the street. Stopped put the fighters in the van and then an officer sprayed pepper spray in the van...started coughing/choking, threw us in out of the van into another van to the station.

@ the station either you do 24 hours or someone gets you out for like $25. My dumbass trying to fit in said my name is Miguel and my friend tried to get out Michael...no Michael here. So he eventually came to the cell and pointed me out.

That's my jail story.

Got pulled over for speeding on my way home which led to a DUI...only spent a day in a holding cell. I also got a huge fine when I got caught not paying for a subway ticket....it's all Digweeds fault!

Note to anyone facing a DUI. Refuse any preliminary on scene test including touching your nose, ABC's, heal to toe or blowing on scene...they can only hurt you.

Make them to you to the station...if you feel you are sober enough to blow...blow...if not make them call a registered nurse to pull your blood...after you get out of jail, go to the Dr. and test your blood alcohol level yourself for evidence.

Recently, a friend of mine listened to my advice to refuse anything on scene and she got away with a warning.

DUI's SUCK!! and this advice, didnt work for me i did ALLLL of the above, and my blood had the same BAC as the preliminary, had the same BAC as the breathalizer. (and the Dr's test was non-admissible in court, because it was done so much later, and not in the presence of an officer). I guess i could've refused the prelim test @ the scene.. but it ended up being the same BAC anyways. (and i aced all my touching nose BS). luckily i didnt have to go to jail tho.. we have "first chance"... that had a nice comfy couch for me to pass out on

umm.. yea. dont get a dui.

Actually now the DMV can suspend your license even if the court doesn't. So even if you get arrested but the officer notes that you refuse to take preliminary on scene alcohol screening and the court doesn't give you a DUI, the DMV will see the note and suspend your license. This is what happened to the actor Shia LaBeouf who crashed his truck, his lawyers got him off his DUI with the courts since he refused the field preliminary test and blew under the legal limit at the jail but DMV still suspended his license for a year. I also got a DUI and my lawyer got it reduced where the court didn't suspend my license but the DMV decided to suspend my license for a year

Oh yeah, girls get away with more drunk driving than guys, I have lots of friends that are girls and they always seem to get off with a warning when pulled over for drunk driving, while almost all of my guy friends including me get DUI's. It's the power of the PUSSY i tell ya! Girls don't need to do anything but look cute & bat their eyes.

i got pulled over on my way home from a bar recently after atleast 5 or 6 drinks, they gave me every test they could think of and i passed and didnt have to do the breathalizer. Got lucky. So i decided to invest in a breathalizer of my own ($200). I use it every time now and i wont drive if over the legal limit. Very helpfull!!

DUIs really suck. I learned my lesson the hard way. Big hike in insurance, DMV/court hearings and risk of not getting a job if they thoroughly check your criminal record. Plus from my experience, the designated driver usually ends up being more drunk than you haha...part of the reason I moved to New York. I can get wasted and just hop on the subway home. The scene here is almost as good as LA, just not as many massives here but there are a number of underground small venues like Cielo and Love.

dui= driving under the influence.

more than just one influence(alcohol)
so i will assume you still ended up in jail?

no i did not....luckily........he knew i was on something, but i was basically at my garage when he finally pulled me over, and since the breathalyzer was 0.00 he let me go, but did warn me not to drive anymore that night

you know whats worse than getting a DUI? killing someone because you were too fucking stupid to have a designated driver or take a cab.

I guess I'm not surprised that a large portion of this community drives while intoxicated (no matter what the drug)

This community? Any community! Peolpe of all types and ages drink too much and and drive. I know first hand from my DUI classes
And now that I'm in AZ...10 days in Tent city (that's the one out in the desert where you have to where pink) and a breathilizer in your car for your first. Second one....30 days! Lucky I got mine leaving Tentation in OC.
So the ones who did get DUIs...what was you're BAC. .13 for me.

I never said refuse completely. Just refuse on scene tests and tell them to take you to the station. Blow or give up blood there.

IM PRISON MIKE.

Posted by Nerologic on Jan-21-2009 11:30:

I have served time.

All my time total prolly ads up to a week only though. I was fortunate enough to either have my mom's bail me out or the current g/f i had at the time.

First time was for street races, i only spent like a day and a half. My g/f bailed me out since my pop's refused to (even though my mom wanted to, or she says).

I spent another 24hrs being investigated on a warehouse party that we through inside a empty warehouse. I was eventually released after questioning because i made it sound like i had NOTHING to do with the party, and i had payed to get in. Cops busted it because of the trail of cars that went from the main street all the way to the industrial building. Which didn't make sense at 3am on a Sat night in a business park.

Next time was for assault 2 days stay. I basically got into a big fight and fucked up some homeboy/gangster guy. I got bailed out of that once again by my current g/f which was a different one since the last time. Same story my parents didnt want to bail me out.

The last time (and hopefully the last) was a few years ago. I got pulled over because i was driving a "modified honda." Low and behold when the cop ran my record i had a bench warrant for not taking those stupid anger management classes from the assault charges. So i got taken in to custody and i had AAA tow my car home because my g/f was afraid to drive the car. This stay was another day and a half until i finally got bailed out this time by my mom. By this time my parents had divorced, so i guess my mom wasn't lying after all?

But yeah, jail sucks. You meet those most cracked out people with even more cracked out stories. The lights being on all the time takes a toll on you. I didn't really mind the food, i am not picky so it was fin with me. Shit i was eating other peoples apples and veggies since they didn't want them. Luckily i never had to use the restroom, so i didn't have to go through that ordeal. Shitty part for me was seeing 2 different ass hats that i knew growing up inside the jail. One was a guard (cop now) and the other was an inmate.

Ya man. It was this online get together kind of like TA members have but this was from some other group.

Anyway there's this skinny turd in there who is damn obnoxious in the forums. One of those online know-it-alls, but the asshole has some shitty job and lives in a dinky little apartment. Most of the time people who are obnoxious online are not so when you meet them face to face.

This guy was a rare exception. Damn he was so annoying and when he had the drink in him he was even more so. How can I describe this worm. He was tall but damn skinny with this fucking little mustache and goatee, but what does it matter.

One thing led to another and we fought. I punched away with reckless abandon. I'm lucky i stopped at the right moment and didnt do more damage. I was about to crack his fucking skull in.

But now as they say I must face the music

Posted by Nerologic on Jan-21-2009 19:36:

Its better to go in like you are already prepared.

When you go in all of a sudden out of no where, makes it that much harder to deal with.

LOL at your comment.

Dude, you arent posting in a forum called BingoAddicts or Librarians of America. Its tranceaddicts buddy and we party so of course we might have made the mistake of driving under the influence a bit more than other groups. Having said that, there are tons of more people that read these comments that wont post 'i never got a DUI'. The title of the thread is 'has anybody served time.' Stop trying be holier than thou. Those of us that have been caught have paid or are currently paying for it.

I got caught last July 16. .12 I thought I did the field tests ok but then again, I think almost everybody says that. I was locked up until 6pm the next day. Got sentenced a few months later. Fortunatley I found a hook up so I dont have to waste my time with DUI and AA classes. I just paid homey under the table and he is taking care of it for me.

I also spent 4 days in a jail about an hour outside of Puerto vallarta. Long story. Worst 4 days of my life. I was innocent by the way. Having said that, carefull when you go down south! I speak the language fluently and still this shit went down. Mexican jail, do yourselves a favor and stay far far away.
