Save The Cannibals presents Steve Bug with Eric Cloutier @ Rebel - Saturday, 1.24

Made Event inaugurates the New Year with the first installment of NYCs new techno weekly series - SAVE THE CANNIBALS. At the helm of this new Saturday night ritual, Poker Flat Recordings chief and newly minted StC resident STEVE BUG and Detroit transplant Eric Cloutier lead the techno natives into unchartered territory. The upstairs at Rebel will provide the intimacy of a small dance boite, along with exceptional sound with a complete new sound system installed and engineered by Integral Sound.

On the conceptualization of StC, Made Event partner Laura De Palma explains, having been involved with electronic music for years in NYC, weve seen a lot of changes. The current bottle service trend is the antitheses of what clubbing is to us. Because weve been personally inspired by a lot of music coming out of the techno scene in recent years, we wanted to give it a home in NYC where everyone feels welcome and we want to hear it on a kick-ass sound system!

StC FREQUENT DINER CARD
For those with an insatiable techno appetite, StC Frequent Diner Cards will be available for purchase. For $120 USD, members will be granted expedited admission to TEN (10) StC events of their choosing throughout 2009. Its a jungle out there and membership has its privileges. For complete details, please go to http://www.savethecannibals.com.

POKER FLAT TURNS 10!
10 years ago an up and coming DJ & Producer named Steve Bug and a close family of DJs and Producers had a vision for something fresh and exciting that would define the times for a very special new sound. And thus Poker Flat Recordings was born... 10 years on, over 100 singles, and 23 albums later and we have seen the label rise from glorious strength to strength, boasting an international artist roster including the most revered names in the scene. With such artists as Steve Bug, Mrtini Brs, Martin Landsky, Phonique, Vincenzo, Guido Schneider, Argy, Trentemller, Detroit Grand Pubahs, John Tejada, Patrick Chardronnet, Martin Buttrich, Dan Berkson & James What and many, many more, Poker Flat represents the soaring stars of the electronic underground, its Past, Present and Future heroes.

Now on the heels of the anniversary Poker Flat will release a 3 CD anniversary compilation that celebrates all that has been and all that will be, looking back with a gleeful smile over the labels decade of music, and of course to the bright future that lies ahead. Across this treasure trove, are exclusive new tracks from key Poker Flat artists, some of the most influential singles from the current season, and some very special hidden treasures from the back catalogue, selected by the man with the vision that started it all, Steve Bug.

That's the best decision to make. I've been itching to see Black again since Minitek.
