New beatport (serious thread)

What the fuck? They have a new load screen (which I assume is the pre-cursor to a new site) and I can't get past that; it just keeps flashing repeatedly.

All my emails to [email protected] just keep bouncing back.

Have they been hacked or something?

Seems to be that way indeed. Oh well, I don't use the site anyway.

Didn't see the beatport 4.0 thread? Anyways they're implementing Beatport 4.0 right now. The transition has been less than ideal so far. Lots of bugs on the new site. The site should load up for you, but after that you'll probably run into some minor issues they still have to iron out.

Look at this thread for more results:

I just clicked on 'Popular Genres -> House Music' at the bottom of the screen, and the site loaded.

Works fine for me now.

(seriously: you cant control things in the internet, what if beatport closes or loses its database or something else goes wrong? not very reliable in my opinion)

Same here, although the first thing I noticed is that two-finger scrolling isn't working, which is a fucking massive pain in the ass.

Edit: Upon further inspection it just seems to be generally fucked in Opera as previews don't work either. It's working OK for me so far in Firefox though.

Obviously still have a few bugs to iron out over the next day or so, but I'm generally pleased with the result; a few key features made more accessible, and it seems they finally managed to fill in the 'DJ Mixes' tab with some actual content.

Looks great. Works well. And a bunch of great new features.

Finally, you can copy the link of the release:

So what? Too bad for Beatport. But you'll still have the music you purchased...
