It depends. There are both public and private hospitals available, but I really think she must've gone to a public hospital, given the fact that she's in Espírito Santo and there's just one big city there...

I don't think the government is going to foot the bill, though, as it already costed her an arm and a leg... but, I can't really put my finger on it
