[514] FORZA with TIĖSTO (4H Set) SAT.JUN.8 @ The FORUM
All reviews will go here please , thanks
it's 6:35 and Tiesto is still spinning , i left 45 minutes before he is supposed to end due to major fatigue (hehe i didn't recover from barbara yesterday) . i'll try to write more later , all i can say right now is that i'm glad i've seen all the TAs i know (except Eli Del & DMX) , the first hour Tiesto spun was crappy due to a lot of cheesy female vocals excepet when he played solar coaster and monkey forest , but after he started playing a lot of classics from 2000/2001 which was amazing . anyways it was a great party , the forum is definitely a great venue , but there was a lack of ... LAZERS
oh and the sound was fucking crappy , that turbo sound should be thrown from the 5th floor and replaced by something new , my ears are ringin' now which sucks
if i remember something i'll add it later
1 word: PHENOMENAL!!!!
the whole thing; Tiesto/Forum/everything was absolutely outstading... i thought the sound was good, but i'm deaf right now... i stayed the whole 4 hours he spun, and left... unbelievable... whatever, i'm beyond words, mostly because my brain is on the brink of crawling out of my head... i need sleep, i'll say more later...

9:39 am passed by home to change my t-shirt and heading to SONA.
i will write later about the last night.
But one thing i can say now : WONDERLAND

Its 10:08am just got back from Montreal - we live in Ottawa.
It was an amazing set. I kept track of what songs were spun and I would say 1/2 of them were from Search From Sunrise 3.
Early on in the set he played Faith (Loafer Mix.)Starecase.
At 4:07 he played Home - Coast to Coast, followed by the Voyage, Southern Sun, Mind Circus, Open your Eyes....Around 5:45 was The Flesh, the Hide U/Flight 643, then close to the end The Prophecy.
I have more of the track listing but I have to be sure of the track.
What did he end the set with...
People were amazing. Never saw any overdoses or fights.
People seemed to dance instead of have orgies etc. Lots of speed going around but you ned it to dance that much.
I will add more of the setlist..I think I have 1/2 of the tracks. Not sure of the remixes etc but I know what he spun and what time.
Anyways time to take a shower

deborah
Can't say I'm deaf... but dam my ears are blown out
i can hear my heart beat...
pretty freaky
Like I expected... What he spun was more like "ISOS 3".
And by the way guys... I'm might have a little something for all of you on the next event... (Gielen)
It will be more of a "beta" thing... but i'm pretty sure your gonna enjoy it.
omfg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
at last my dream has come true!
Tiėsto was amazing! i arrived there with the less expectations i could have for tiesto cause i didnt want to be deceived. man that was unbelivable! by the way he finished with magikal journey. i think i wont write more than that cause itll take me two pages to explain the emotions i think he made us feel. god damn! two lifetime experiences in a row.... im gonna die soon!. last thing i have to say: this guy presence on the scene is so extroardinary, he controls your emotions, he surprise you(i died when he spun hide you, than i decomposed myself when he mixed it with flight 643........ dont know if he has done that often apart from dutch dimension 2001) and then he kills you.... magikal journey was so intense and it seemed like even himself didnt want to stop, cause he let it roll till the end.
i think that this night tiesto's performance could shut up everyone bitching about his mix skills( at the end he started to miss a little his mixes, but at the start and for the extreme major part of his set he spun so well. OMFG Tiėsto as to spin more often in Montreal. CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCaaaaaaaallllllliiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee que ctait bad. aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh im already thinking of his next appearance here. btw it was cool to meet some TAs like fastmp3 or techno freak and sputnick both for the second time.... that night was magikal......jpx told me he prefered armin, but i think that the magik man is not called like this for nothing, the magik touch makes all the difference(btw i didnt see armin but im sure tiesto was better.... hes the god of trance after all......
thats it.... i hope the complete tracklist will be posted soon, he mixed some hardier stuff, i didnt tought he would do this.
RESPECT THE MAGIK MAN, RESPECT DJ TIĖSTO
btw, my friends and i were fuckin deaf after tiesto, but i thought the sound was just perfectly balance, not to much bass as well as not to much high killing youre ears. it was high but this kind of experience has to be heared loud, it increases the feelings imo.
Miss Tiesto is In Search Of Sunrise
Thank You TIESTO! i hope everyone enjoyed last night
Didn't the venue look incredible? OMG! i couldn't believe my eyes going up the escalators and seeing everything from above
it felt awesome. it looked so out of this world. especially when they put scenes of flying thro space up on the screens above. and the disco ball was so pretty!
and then tiesto started his set and blew me away. i happen to like how the set started...it was uplifting, emotional and soooo..."Tiesto". he's the best dj for picking out those good female vocal tracks i love so much. plus they were a good build up to all the hard energetic tracks that followed. the highlight for me was when he played salt tank- eugina, and then later when he played flight 643. too bad he didn't spin endless wave...i didn't really expect it since its old but it would have been a pleasant surprise- that track kicks ass...and would have sent me flying all the way up to heaven!
i stayed for the whole set and left around 8...but i still heard the music till 9 am nonetheless! it was pounding thro the walls of a little breakfast place around the corner-lol. neway-i didn't go to the afterparty which is still going on right now
i was on call for work today and couldn't go.
now i gotta try to get some oakenfold tickets...
till next time

Tracklist anyone? PLZ!!!!!!!!!
Man what a fucking performance! He killed me. Absolutely killed me.
Haha i am probably the only person on the face of the planet that would pay $40 for a bus ride down alone, but i did it. Im glad i met all you TA's some of you again some for the first time. Tranceplant and czaoth you guys missed a killer show. Oh and mad props to the guys dressed in the tiesto gear.. i dont know if you are on here but I thought i saw them talking to some of the tas. Way to show your spirit.
For the most part the venue was outstanding. It was a little warmer than molson centre but accept for the sauna that was the bathrooms I cant complain. The layout was nice and the dj booth was placed perfectly. Again, like fast said.. Where were the lazers? As for the sound, I thought it was awful. If that is in the fact the 'best in the world' phazon system then we have a long ways to come with sound. The high end seemed to be pitched WAY too high. And there were a number of times I was grabbing my ears because of screetchin distortion. And I can normally take alot. I dont know why it sounded so much better to me at Swirl.
As for the dj.. tiesto well, what can i say? Out of control. I actually liked him better than armin. He spun surprisingly HARD which I love. I dont know why he saved the best for the end of his 4 hour set cause i was dead. I dont know how anyone can even think about staying till the end never mind an afterparty for that matter. I mean I am young and in shape and that 4 hours killed me. I guess its just pacing yourself. Either that or you're taking some kind of drug i am not aware of.
It was a two hour set so i obviously cant remember all the songs i recognized but here are some i dont think have been mentioned.. (obviously in no particular order)
yahel - voyage
dreamcatcher - i dont want to lose my way
dj tiesto - in my memory (airwave or l-vee not too sure) OMG!!!!
Plasticboy - silverbath
Mass effect - alphascan
D*Note - Shed My Skin (Airwave Rmx) (OMG TOO!!!)
Jericho - Personal Reflection
Dj tiesto - lethal industry
Three Drives On A Vinyl - Carrera 2
Solar Stone - Solar Coaster
midway - monkey forest
not sure but i think one of the first few tracks was sonorous - second sun mirco de govia remix
and surprisingly he didnt play urban train unless i was in the bathroom. disappointing.
And what was with southern sun? He must have gone back and changed the lyrics cause it sounded like his remix, but now hes using the new oakey lyrics.
One more thing.. What was the track with the hypnotic female vocals a few songs after southern sun.. PLEASE someone help me. I NEED THAT SONG!
Man after every part I am saying best of the summer so far. It just keeps getting better! But fuck i am going broke. Oh and to the dude i met from ottawa.. ill catch you on msn sometime this week.
DISCOJOE = SPENT
LATER
try
salt tank - eugina (michael woods mix)
CJ Bolland - The Prophet
hey how come i didn't meet DJ Charlie , TechnoFreak and dieselgirl ?
Eli i saw your friends (those who were with you @ Armin last year) but i didn't see you , i guess u were there too
Del* and DMX where the heck where you ??
I arrived at 00h45 and I entered at 01h45, not so long. I heard bunch of UK people in the waiting line, is it possible? I spend the first 1 hour and a half dancing and looking everywhere for a TA t-shirt, pant, hat, tatoo, haircut, anything that may help me recognize one of you. FASTMP3, you said "i'm the trance big bear , u will recognize me" This didn't help me at all :\ It was the first time I saw Tiesto. It gaves me a cool feeling to see "in real life" somebody whom I looked over and over in pictures, vids and on websites even in my dreams...
As dieselgirl said, the view from the escalator was awesome! I brang 2 friends, absolute newbies about techno, raves, dj, etc., and they enjoy their night quite as much as me. This guy has so much influence on the crowd!! And he seemed to really enjoy djing.. I got to quit at 5h45 because I had to go to work, but it was enough to convert me into a
TIESTO ADDICTED!!!
Definitively one of my lifetime most memorable moments!

.... I've been following Trance music for about 3 years now, and have been going to raves/after hours/seeing the best DJs for about the same amount of time, and let me tell you, that was the absolute best experience of all times... Everytime Tiesto would drop a kick ass song, or mix to perfection, i would just have a WTF?!?!? smile on my face, and say to myself, how can anyone possibly do that, it seemed impossible to play that well, but it looked so easy... You can tell that the guy was having as much a blast as we were having... the songs got awsome, he would start to party, and his mojo would transfer to us, and we would start to go crazy... and vice versa... I mean jesus christ... The funniest i heard from someone, in the bathroom, was: "Jeez can the guy at least play 1 bad song so i can relax, hes relentless..."
i can't stop listening to solar stone - solar coaster ... OMG i'm crying (haha)
the only bad things about yesterday :
-no laZers
-line up to get in the toilets
-SpoutnicK didn't do his lights show as promised
