PDD Forum Oscar poll

I've decided to run an oscar poll.

Why post in the PDD? Because I'm lazy and don't want to sort through hundreds of files. If you read this though, feel free to invite others.

Here's how it works:

1. You send me a PM with your e-mail address
2. I send you a copy of the excel submission form
3. You fill out the form and e-mail it back
4. I anounce a winner after the oscars
5. You get gloating rights if you win

I'm doing this out of personal interest, I just want to see how well people can guess what will win. I'm also interested in seeing if some of the people I know that work in film are better at gussing what will win and what won't.

Oh, and I'm going to add a bonus based on submission date where faster = better. This is to acount for the fact that some people might put research into the competition.

this is just like the PDD Presidential Elction we had a few months ago.

Lira won.

Does that mean I had gloating rights? Can't I just have domino's pizza instead?

Is the purpose to guess what will win or to vote for what we want to win?

To try and guess what will win.

I've thrown together an excel sheet that I'm circulating to people I know from all different parts of life, work, classmates, family, etc. as a curriosity about if there is any group that might have more insight about what the Academy thinks then another.

The most common response has been that people want to win money if the are right. My answer to that is that I'm to lazy to collect and keep track of money.

I wrote this one off as one that Brad Pitt does so girls can spend 2 hours thinking about Brad Pitt. Something about the way it was shot / marketed that just kind of told me the money wasn't spent on the plot.

Pick whatever movie was least interesting, and that will probably win the Oscar.

SAG > Academy Awards.
