I just got it to record, my question is, the cable should go from my mic output to the mixer's booth or tape input? Also, what kind of cable should I get? Thanks.

Btw, I have a Behringer VMX 300 (I know it sucks, but I'll have to deal with it for now).

Tape. But the Tape is an output. It needs to go into whatever you have set for your record input on your computer.

Cable depends on the inputs & outputs. From the mixer it's an RCA. Into the computer/soundcard, more than likely a mini-jack and you will need an RCA adapter like this:

If you are using a soundcard, it can be a variety of connectors.....
