toronto events looking weak.

i've rarely complained about the events we get here, as usually we get lots of good talent. but wow, that febrauary event section is looking rough. Unless some goodies sneak in, I may hold off til march to go to an event.

February doesn't look that bad. You do realize that it has to slow down a bit.

Also, the Dubfire event at Guv on Feb. 15th isn't posted there yet either...

A few events are not posted yet. Promoters are slacking.

As I said before, fuck the promoters. They can use the first thread that's started on the subject just like everyone else. Or, even better, they can be the 1st to create the thread.

That way we're not trying to sort our schedules w/out full information.

we're in a recession man.

sorry
things will be back to normal in may

until then.. pick up a new habit
xo

- Jan 31st, Sammy Dee
- Feb 6th, Nomolous
- Feb 7th, Marc Houle
- Feb 21st, Cari Lekebusch

Considering I generally dont go out a club every single weekend, that's more than enough to keep me amused until March.

I'm with you on this. It seems that fans get er done faster than the promoters. Mind you though, the promoters probably want to make sure everything is set in stone whereas the fans tend to jump the gun.

Jan., Feb., and March are always slow with international talent....usually after WMC it picks up.

Posted by Yohan on Jan-26-2009 17:20:

time for the locals to shine!

There is a good headliner coming almost every single weekend in February. Maybe what is offered doesn't cater to your tastes, but February has usually been much slower than this in years past.

Winter is always the slowest point of the party year.

agreed events suck so far this year

I'm actually happy that the next couple of months won't be bombarded with crazy events and parties. I'm so fucking broke from xmas, and want to save up for BeB and my summer vacation... at least this way i won't feel bad for missing out on big events and great DJ's. I know i know... i'm selfish.

Posted by T_ALI on Jan-26-2009 23:14:

Everything usually slows down after the extremely busy time of Christmas and New Years.

It'll pick up in late february/early march.
