Thumbs up [PHOTOS 01.16] INCOGNITO w/ 2X Grammy Winner ERIC KUPPER (Hed Kandi, Fierce Angels)*

We had 5 DJs that night, with Eric Kupper headlining. We were packed and had a line snaking to the parking lot outside of King King from 10p to 1a. This was pretty much one of the bigger nights at King King in memory.

YUTAX (Afro 99)

Thanks for the continuous support and allowing INCOGNITO to AGAIN hit capacity at King King.

King King was PACKED and the ratio of MALES to FEMALES was close to 50:50

On Friday Feb 6, INCOGNITO Global and Cache music presents GET DOWN w/ JOHN SELWAY (Smith & Selway, Serotonin, CSM Records, Memory Boy ).

JOHN SELWAY is considered one of the most prolific producers in electronic music as a whole today, as well as being one of the most in-demand TECHNO DJs in the USA, Japan and Germany.

From his first electronic band CHAOTIC SOUND MATRIX, to his major contributions to the early productions of DEEP DISH; from his first success in the techno world as part of the seminal New York duo DISINTEGRATOR to the most successful of his collaborations, SMITH & SELWAY, and his deep and minimal techno label CSM; from the intelligent electro-funk of SYNAPSE and SEROTONIN Records, the electro and synth-pop of MEMORY BOY to the wild improvisational eclecticism of the RANCHO RELAXO ALLSARS with Abe Duque, JOHN SELWAY is a legendary DJ that you should see at least once in your lifetime.

Support that night will come from ERPHUN(Audio Therapy, Viva Music, INCOGNITO), DEANPAUL(Droidbehavior), CURTIS HELSON(Funxion, INCOGNITO) and a special Bday set by CONOR ROGAN(Enclave Recordings).

I'm still completely amazed when I think how crowded King King was that night. And for a headliner that 4 out of 5 in LA had never heard of before the event.

That's what I'm getting at. "Good" doesn't come close to covering it.

it's all about spreading the love for the music.

and that's what the INCOGNITO concept is all about. most of our headliners are known in the international circuit;
but we always believe that, and hopefully educate the people, that the DJ is just a medium who brings QUALITY music.

i think i have to include our tag line in our promotions again -

INCOGNITO - I am a Medium. Drown in my Beats.

hope to see you guys at our upcoming parties!

nah, its just a different market =) ERIC KUPPER is quite well known, not just in the techy world nor in TA.

for example, most of the DJs who headline at DEEP Sundays at Vanguard and BALANCE Saturdays were there to give respect...from West Coast Collective, Roy Davis Jr, Adam Auburn, etc etc

we try our best to be cutting edge and in bringing in acts who, as Gerard mentioned, are known usually internationally, but not as well known in LA yet. From DJs from Vietnam to Manila, from our IBIZA and LATIN AMERICA nights, from Opencloud to Samantha James to Chloe Harris, we try to bring quality House music to Hollywood and to our loyal market.

indeed, me and Gerard are both marketing people in the corporate world and that helps in what we do.

plus, we've been lucky so far

but at the end of the day, its the consumers who keep on coming back that show we are doing something correct.

And for that, we reiterate out thanks for everybodys continuous support of INCOGNITO.

cheers!

That was a great night. Too bad I had to head out by 12:30 because my guest underestimated the strength of those King King drinks.

Damn, I had a perfect buzz going that night too. Damn, lot of girls there that night too!

I guess I'll have to come back on Friday. Just gotta find some clean underwear
