The Most Original Games!

What would consider to be the most original game(s)?

My vote goes to Nights, on the Sega Saturn, dispite people hating the saturn, this game was a quality one! and nothing else before or after has even came close to the idea of it, totally wacky but it worked and very very original!

And the bommerman series too! booom!!!!

There's lots more but I just can't think of any right now.

of course there's gta2 & 3 now...but the original gta was quite unique when it was released

jah all games that started a standard..
alone in the dark (horror games), final fantasy , zelda etc etc..

Konami's Bemani series has to be one of the most original series of games ever to be made. (Games: Dance Dance Revolution, Para Para Paradise, Beatmania IIDX)

Wolfenstein 3D was the greatest game ever, and the original FPS.

Uunga Boonga is the MOST ORIGINAL GAME EVAR! (The premise of the game is you poke someone... in the ass...)

Rez also comes close to being the most original game ever...

Jet Grind Radio is very original. Started the whole cel-shading craze (wasn't first, but it was the one that popularized it).

Eternal Darkness...also a very original concept.

oh my god, I remember Nights: Into Dreams for saturn. i LOVED that game, I still have the soundtrack from that game somewhere.

Gotta admitt, Jet Set Radio/Future are both awesome games and was a very original idea. Parasite Eve .. it was very different from anything Square has ever done. The whole Bemani series too .
