Will H - Rehabilitation [Various House]

Rehabilitation is not an event - it's a process.
Recently, many of you were aware of my attendance in a rehabilitation facility for Alcohol Abuse. Going through rehab was an eye-opening experience, that made me put a lot of things into perspective about my life. I realize that the downfall that ultimately sent me to rehab was a pretty low in my life; and looking back on it, i can see the spiral descent towards that one wicked day that could have ended my life.
Rehabilitation is not an event - it's a process.
This mix, hopefully, will take you on the wild ride that was the latter half of 2008 - full of partying hard, drinking hard, blacking out, and withdrawl. I normally don't like spoken word in a mix, but the opening track "Trippin on the Floor" kind of puts things into perspective about what you're going to experience over the next 79 minutes of house.
No problem and Heat it Up are two massively powerful tracks that under normal conditions, I don't think would be in the front of a mix - but that's basically how my downfall started out - hard and loud. The first 30 minutes of the mix are loud house with a bit of electro/funk in it. Moving into Fairplay is where there rehab process begins. Shine is that "moment of clarity" you hear about, and where the progressive house begins. The rest of the mix is a combination of ups and downs, as quitting alcohol and dealing with depression is not a quick and easy ride. And the final two tracks are where I am at right now. nearly two months sober; and still working on that process. I'm "In Too Deep", but ultimately I'm going to be able to keep this whole experience as just a shadow in my mind, and move on with life. 2009 is a year for getting back on track.
Rehabilitation is not an event - it's a process.

As far as the album art is concerned, yes I already know how a good portion of TA feels about it ... but it's an expression of the chaos that alcohol caused. Again, I put my face on there, because I am taking responsibility for my recovery. The fist is the strength I feel I have to get over it, despite being curled up in the rest of my arms. For whatever it's worth, that's me in the flesh right now.
Cool man. Will take a listen.
Will definitely give it a listen, Will.
The Sydenham remix of Adrian is f'n epic!
shameless.
gay bro
So I had a listen in full earlier. I must admit though first that that cover art is pretty damn funny to me for some reason.
On to the mix. I found all the transitions but one to be perfectly executed. The one transition that I actually found to fall a little short was into "Adrian", which is also my favorite track in this mix.
All in all though it was very well executed even if some of the stuff was not my particular cup of tea (mainly the vocal tracks). I liked the first part a little more but obviously you aimed for a certain sense of progression which I definitely caught on to so good job on that.
Gay bro
Will take a listen tomorrow

Listened last night on the car while driving to various places. Nice stuff, lots of clubby house tracks and even a tip of trance at some points near the end. No problems with mixing as far as I could tell.

Yeah, but I actually meant the synths. They were a bit trancey
