Sasha & Digweed Prog Trance Choonage
Can anyone list any prog trance tracklisted by them. Love the stuf they play or used to play and aside from the obvious stuff thought there might be some undiscovered gems
Go to the tracklisting board, there is a Sasha set archive there with all the track lists.
Cheers !!
I would say the best one that Sasha did which features anything close to "progressive trance" is his Global Underground San Francisco.
But even still, it was more like prog house... Sasha or Digweed never played anything that sounds like today's "prog trance", even if you go back to Northern Exposure, a lot of that music would be considered minimal type stuff and probably wouldn't even be found in the trance bins today. ]
I think that is the image they have both been trying very hard to shed over the past 10 years, neither one of them have been trance DJs for many many years

yeah def blurred, especially these days. diggers plays mostly all tech house and techno type stuff, while sasha plays mostly techno, some prog type stuff, but a lot of experimental and electronica stuff that really can't be pigeon-holed into any one genre.
In my opinion I think the evolution of Sasha's sound over the years has been one of the most interesting in the industry - the man has an AMAZING ear for music, and knows what he wants. Although the genres and styles have changed, he has always stayed true to the Sasha sound, which is melodic and crazy.
diggers on the other hands has been all over the place, but his mixing takes top honors.. he is defniitely the most creative and most talented dj when it comes to mixing, he is always 10 steps ahead!
I personally would choose Digweed over Sasha any day.
Digweed still have that dark mysterious sound while some of the recent sets I've heard from Sasha have been an orgy in blip blop boredome. What a pile of shit. What a fucking pile of shit.
