LOL!!! i think it was a little of both... promoting the party with the emphasis on promoting the DJ.

personally (emphasis on personally), thought it was creative. i viewed the thread and the link and thought wow...

I wish I was in town for this one. Christian Smith and John Selway have been puttin down with their unique style of techno for ages. Got about 4 of their (all though Selway was the only one to really do solo stuff) tracks on vinyl...yeah I said vinyl from the Hooj Choons and Bedrock lables from years ago. Diggers was and is big into these guys stuff.

some of his best stuff was well before then too

The Dream by Prana (Selway, BT and Dubfire) is the best thing he's ever done, imo and quite definitely for BT too

This thread is about BEATPORTAL's collective opinion of the TOP 10 Singles of 2008, who by the way, are the same writers who also said LA is the new center of TECHNO, and who wrote that Droog, Compression, Droidbehavior are leading that movement here, and countless articles about the LA scene, etc etc.

Now if I inserted a little factoid about Single #6 and one of the DJs behind it who was JOHN SELWAY was spinning at King King THIS Friday Feb 6 for GET DOWN/INCOGNITO, then maybe it was just that, a "By The Way".
