i joined it last week and one thing i don't like about it how everyone knows your busy. IMO its a bit stalkerish. the other day i accepted a request from some slampig that i fooled around with last summer. Then I realized, I don't want this girl knowing my every move.

I think its cool you re-connect with old friends from back in the day but theres some people there who send me a request and its like "You didn't bother with my in HS...why should i bother with you now"

yes, its completely pro-stalker. haha.

then again u can always fix ur privacy settings so that ppl can only contact you via message and block everything else, including most of your profile if u so choose.

yes, ive def liked reconnecting with old firends but then it seems like WAAYYY too many ppl want to reconnect with you. its overwhelming, haha

limited profile ftw
i really like facebook's privacy flexibility. there's a lot to tinker with.

You can always adjust your settings to give them limited access to your page.

Hhahahahahahaha, I know what you're saying Mate. I had a girl giving Me a hard time the other day because I cheated on Her when I was 15. That was 25 fucking years ago.

I added My little Sister as a friend and it opened up a whole new world of pain. She is still friends with a lot of my exes, I guess they seen my name on Her profile and it all went downhill from there.

I fly under the radar....no facebook, no myspace,etc.....

Plus there was a story today about facebook and what hackers are doing to it,etc......

everyone is always buggin me to get myspace/facebook etc
its just not for me i could careless about posting funny pics, or how many friends have me on their top 8

I have a 14 year old daughter that I haven't seen since she was three. I thought that joining facebook would be a good way for her to get hold of me if she ever wanted to. Hopefully it will work.

facebook is amazing for reconnecting with people you thought you might never hear from again....could be a good or bad thing

I'm a huge fan of Facebook. But then again, nothing makes me happier than a kettle full of drama.

my pros...

+more current on the latest events/parties
+relationship status updates pretty crazy such as "X is no longer listed as married" "Y is now in an open relationship"
+can whore for attention through status updates
+am now dating a guy from HS I connected with on Facebook
+blocking people is satisfying
+somebody pisses me off, then I unfriend them...no muss, no fuss


my cons...

+crazy ex husband found me there & scared the crap out of me with a stalkerish message
+have people that I want nothing to do with, but feel obligated to friend them anyway
+major time suck
+annoying IMs from cute guys in Latvia & Turkey I friended on a whim (need stealth settings on FB)
+weird and potentially dangerous mix of friends (I have my mom & a playgirl model as friends, lol)

I never knew RobDawg had a real last name untill i became friends with him on facebook. Sometimes you find out more about people through facebook than u do in real life.

I hate the people who friend you just to stalk you or worse are the ones who don't even know you. Casually knowing someone even is not enough. My default answer is IGNORE!
