YES

I knew I could feel the tectonics were slightly shifting.

I see balance has been brought to the Above & Beyond balloons. For where there are clouds and dreams, there is also the underground and subterfuge.

Again, wow.

I am honestly not a Dubfire fan at all, but I will be there because I want to ravehardlikeamofo to some clicky techno.

Guys are 21+ ? damn

Posted by ZeeRobot1 on Feb-06-2009 14:29:

shall be there in full effect.

There are only two tracks of his in recent memory that I remember liking and that was Ribcage and his remix of Hold My Hand (I think that is what it was).

Everything else has been wretched, especially the sets I've heard.

club policy.

Also, just so everyone knows we want to make this night as reasonably affordable as possible as well as getting everyone to buy advance tickets. To do this the ticket price will stay at $20 all the way up until the night of the show. NOTE: Tickets on the door will be in the $35 range.

Posted by iammesol on Feb-06-2009 22:27:

Oh, I know you didn't establish that, Devin. It's just extremely annoying. Wondering if it's worth the $20 for me to try my fake. I can't believe I still haven't seen Dubfire.

This is pretty much how I feel... I may go depending who'll be there, but I dunno if I could take 8 hours of Dubfire.

Never really understood the girls 18+/guys 21+ thing either...Oh well, I'm definitely not crazy over Dubfire, but I may check it out depending on what else is going on around that time.

One of the few left I presume

Posted by enydo on Feb-07-2009 02:46:

I'll go if he plays this.

It would mix out of Grindhouse very well I think.

Posted by iammesol on Feb-07-2009 02:48:

That track's time has passed.

Posted by enydo on Feb-07-2009 02:50:

Yeah right, I smell minimal techno remix.

with a foghorn

and a tornado siren

Posted by Ted Promo on Feb-07-2009 02:53:

and Dick Cheney's pacemaker beeps.

Talk about ice cold techno.

I'm with you.

I'm surprised more people aren't more excited about this. Not that I am, but I thought minimal techno was like the new thing. lol. Definately don't think I could handle it. It's cool he's willing to play so long though.

I can think of a few reasons...

They've had a few attempts with better known promoters, meaning they obviously are wishing for "super club" status. Most of these venues are trying to market young(ish) girls coming in. Meaning they'll likely have more girls if they allow 18+ for them.

Considering location, they might be thinking it's a good idea to increase the ages of males as to not have too many testosterone influenced underage thug fights going on =P
