Where is everyone staying ?
This is my first time doing WMC and im kinda doing it on a budget. Anyone have any places to look at that are good to stay at I just want a clean place to sleep.
Any help ?
no offense intended here, but you're doing it kinda late.
try miami beach north of south beach (around 40th or 70th st). you'll have to pay more for cabs obviously, but save the cash and take the bus. either that or someplace close to downtown. downtown itself will probably be too expensive too. i highly doubt you're gonna find anything cheap in south beach right now, unless you wanna stay at a hostel like someone mentioned a few weeks back.
good luck though.

Hostels are your best bet for doing it on a budget, theres a couple in south beach, but I would purchase now if its not too late.
I'm staying on Ocean Drive and 4th street this year

Check out the Castle Beach Club at 5445 Collins. I stayed there last year for $500 total for 5 nights. A lot of the units are owned by individuals, a la the Shelborne. Go ahead and contact the resort and I'm sure they'll put you in touch with the owners who are renting the units.
I'm staying at Ocean and 3rd this year for the same price. WEEEEEE!!!
Eden Roc on Sobe
I'm staying at the Chelsea Hotel on 7th & Washington. I got it for $199 a night through Hotels.com but my friend got her room for $179.

In all fairness, I just got my hotel last week and there were still a few pretty good deals in downtown (under $200 a night)on hotels.com.
the roomate plans i had just fell through.. they decided on a place near 50th.. too far for me.. if anyone is interested in getting something together close to the action then pm me
Anyone wanna split a 4 room hostel ?
I just want something on collins ave.
Staying at a house 15-20 mins away from south beach. Rented a car though as the cost of cabs would add up.
I mean im driving down, but what good is a car if your shitfaced ?

We are staying in the Doral area on the westside of the airport. It is about 10 minutes downtown and 20 min to Sobe. 2 br with separate living room, full kitchen for $139 a night. We stayed there last year and could play music loud during the day.
There are 9 of us staying in two rooms. Also free parking so that adds up with 3 different cars. Some are flying some are driving down. We will be downtown more during the nights and at SOBE during the day. Not a big deal to drive to me. I don't drink. Other stuff wears off quicker than alcohol so my posse is good. Mainly maripills and baked goods =)

I'm at the Castle Beach Club in one of the condos privately owned
A bit farther North, especially for my first time, but I got a car rented and I think it'll be ok. Not to mention I have cab fare covered at night time (lucky me)
Anyone else stayed theree?
