-- Xone 42 vs. Xone 62
Xone 42 vs. Xone 62
So I'm pretty set on buying one of these in a few weeks. The only reason why I am having trouble deciding which one is the fact that on the www.moogaudio.ca website (Montreal and Toronto locations), the 42 is $1,029 and the 62 is $799. I know the 42 has a USB connection but the 62 has two more channels and a 4-band EQ, compared to what seems to be the 42's 3.
Can anybody clear this up please?
I would get the 62. Actually I did get the 62, but I would get it again. Keep in mind those two extra channels take 1/4" inputs and aren't routed to the filters.
Sounds good man, so far I'm going based on what you wrote. I am wondering however if anybody else has got an opinion on this? Particularly someone whose used the 42?
62
Forego both options. Get the 92
Lol 92 for sure. I JUST ordered mine last week and i got it for 1000 shipped slightly used. Hopefully i hit the deal of a lifetime since im still waiting for it to come. The prices for it have gone down considerably though, DJ deals has it for $1315 and im sure guitar center can match that price + no tax and no shipping. I was going to get the 42 also when woody waid djdeals had it for 1099. Last deal i saw on the 42 was for 800 + shipping used.
I would also change my vote to 92, but the OP didn't list that as an option.
Technically speaking, what does the 92 do better than the 42?
IMO 42 is plenty.
Yea 92 seems like an overkill for a home setup. Considering the 62 is less expensive that seems to be a logical choice.
Here is one solution...

Pretty cool to see all 3 lined up.
62 is garbage. Get the 42, the Xfx send alone is worth it.

the 92 is better but to me not almost twice the price better... not even close
Yea the Ecler Nuo 5 also looks really, really nice. One thing I really like about it (which the A&H ones may or may not have) is the bass-off switch that is assigned to each channel. That can be very handy.

So would you say the 92 produces better sound quality as well? Or is it simply more feature-rich?

Empath was actually my second choice mixer after the 62. I really like them a lot, but wanted 6 channels instead of 3.
