Streakfury - This Is My Church (07-02-2009) :: Old-school Trance

Morning all!

Last night I recorded a set from a few old CDs I found lying around. I hadn't played, or even heard, these tunes since around 2002 when they were all doing the rounds, so it was awesome to play some of the older, more energetic stuff. Anyway, here's the tracklist:

8. Sunscreem vs Push - Please Save Me (Vocal Edit)
9. Mandrake - Universal Soul (Hemstock and Jennings Remix)
10. Pulser - Cloudwalking (Beat Pusher Remix)
11. Euphonic - Far and Away (Euphonic Dub)
12. Andain - Beautiful Things (Cor Fijneman Remix)
13. Signum - Second Wave (Original Mix)
14. M.U.T.E. - Missed Beat (Dumonde Remix)
15. Dumonde - God Music (Original Mix)

As you can see, there are some full-on trancers in there. I have to say, after mixing a lot of progressive stuff over the last year or so, I'm completely out of practice mixing fast uplifting stuff, so some of the transitions are a bit dodgy.

All in all, though, I thought it was OK. Full of energy, and it reminds me of the good old days of trance! Let me know what you think!

Well, I say old-school, the tunes are from about 2001/2002 period. Back when was trance was good...

Cheers for the advice. I'm not sure how much difference mixing new songs will make compared to mixing old songs, but I mix all sorts anyway. I just decided to go back to a happier time with this mix, but as you can tell, I'm a bit out of practice!
