Help put a stop to racism.

PLEASE HELP STOP RACISM.

Here is a video a gang of thugs recorded of themselves while shouting abuse at people in the street. Thousands of these gangs record themselves committing illegal activity and then share it with other likeminded scumbags on the Internet to gain credibility.

In this video the gang mock a group of passing Asian people by imitating their voice and shouting words of abuse at them. If that wasnt enough they also shout homophobic abuse at a group of men they believe to be gay.

You must do everything you can to put a stop to racism. Please write to your local government representative expressing your belief that more needs to be done to put a stop to this most foul of abuse. Thank you for your time.

I'd love to stop prejudice, but I can't do that on my own and, unfortunately, I don't think that politicians can really help. Or any authority, for that matter.

It's up to the people to really put an end to this endless stupidity. I think I could do better (who can't?), and I've been thinking about that lately...

Prejudice itself is not bad, its negative prejudice which is the root of racism.

You see, I'm quite aware of the fact that some prejudice may be good. For example, if I see someone having a seizure, it's good to have some background information and come to the conclusion that seizures are not good - and, therefore, I should do something to help the poor sap. But, I'm really wary of embracing any kind of prejudice as there's trace of infallibility in the way we build stereotypes. Edit: I mentioned "prejudice" rather than "racism" because gays are not a race. As a matter of fact, I don't get why "Jews" are considered to be a race either, but, I've also been hanging around with supposed Asians for quite a while, and even came to make fun of that because I still haven't found out what's so strikingly different about them.

Everything you see would be "new" if you didnt have a prejudice of what something will feel like, sound like, smell like. A prejudice is simply a method used by your brain to remember things.

But i do understand what you are saying.

I understand your point too, reason why I mentioned the problem of induction.

But, is it not possible to culturally unlearn this kind of behaviour when it comes to other people? That's an enterprise I find worth pursuing.
