Birmingham, Alabama

Does anyone know if there is any sort of "scene" in Birmingham, Al ?? There is a chance I may be spending a few years there and would like to know what I am getting myself into. I know no big names ever ever come there, but are there any local house nights at any clubs? Is there a forum for locals? Are there ever any parties out in the woods or something? Anything?

Greg, NO!

Only name I recognize on that list is Rel1, and he plays all the time in Atlanta since he lives here.

I recently moved to Huntsville which is about an hour north of Birmingham. I look to Nashville and Atlanta for events.
