Your thoughts on Event threads
Does anyone else not like the fact that event threads get moved to the events 3.0 thread. I can understand small shows like DJ John Doe from Tampa in Tampa but bigger events like S&D @ HOB and Sander K @ firestone. These events deserve hype of a thread on their own.
I PMed our local FLTA mod about this and he told me it was cool to ask around. I personally think local events are part of the reason we have local forums. Vote on the poll or reply and express your opinion.
i voted for "Bigger events posted by active members should be allowed".
s&d and sander k threads for orlando should have their own individual threads, even if it is a bit early. hell its wmc hype!
When I read the thread title.. I though I was getting impeached.. LOL!

I've been putting the SAFE stuff in the events thread. Even though we mostly do one or two parties a month. I really dig the hell out of the WMC forum. I'll get our lineup up as soon as its finalized. You all are going to have a very SAFE WMC I promise.
Let me add b4 this thread goes on further.
As far as "Events" goes..
I do allow & encourage individual event threads to be started to hype/roll call the event. All I ask is b4 doing so, post it in the "Florida Events Thread". Thats why I move them. If I don't do that then why have a "Florida Events Thread" in the 1st place if noone is gonna be courteous enough to do so b4 starting an individual event thread. Why have simple guidleines that others have been following since b4 I became MOD & have others not follow them?
Yes I agree.
There are members who join TA to promote their parties/events but are not active members of the board. Thats also another reason why I move the events.
Any event that gets posted can have its own hype thread. The only problem I have is as of recently & I mean in the last few weeks or so is.... numerous Events big or small are getting their own threads b4 being posted in the Events thread & those same events are a month if not longer ways away. The Tiesto event that happening in Sept (SEPT)got only 3 or 4 posts & thats it.
Why clutter the board with events that are so far away down the road?
Im fair & I'd rather get feedback from you FLTA's so that everyone is on the same page & I don't take action & some may not like what I decide to do. So I ask u FLTA's...
How would you guys like to do this??
How long do u think b4 an Individual Event thread should be made?

Active members only!
if it gets moved to events thread... start up a hype/roll call thread.
have u guys seen ny section? *atleast* 4 threads for every fuking party because promoters are too stupid to check a few threads down.
it's a fuking mess and all the threads in ny are 7999% parties with 1% being a general discussion.
i try to be active , but i post on like 20 billion boards .. if you guys feel it deserves its own thread by all means create it. that's the way i've been handling it
yeh, manny has been following the rules, i dunno. i guess it caught me kinda weird. Those two events are worth knowing about and if it wernt for FLTA I would have never known those events were going to take place. I dont search through the events threads on every local forum. I dont want to be on e-mail list because then I get notices of their top40s events every week. I like to travel for bigger events and S&D @ HOB and Sander K @ Firestone is big enough for me to start looking for flights even though I have PVD here in Charlotte, NC the night before S&D and WMC the following week. Money is going to be tight so I cant say for sure if I will be coming but if I can find a cheap flight to ORL or even JAX and ride down with some of my friends in JAX I might just do it.
That being said, I think the rules have been followed to a T, so can one of us repost those events as they deserve more than 2 weeks of hype
On a side note, as some might have noticed I frequent FLTA more than I do ATLTA, funny enough I have met very few FLTAs. I consider this more my home since I actually come to Miami 3 or 4 times a year which is more than I go to Atlanta. Between Jax, Orlando, Tampa, and south FL, I come to Florida probably 10 times a year. Anyhow, just wanted to speak that so people knew why put my 2 cents here about event threads.
Either way, I respect Mannys decision
