Who the F*** Chooses Beatports Samples?
The amount of samples on beatport that stop right at the buildup of a breakdown is ridiculous. It seems like all the samples released since Beatport 4.0 are this way. Its makes the player almost pointless because I'll have to look at other sites to listen now. /rant.
It has ALWAYS been this way
because they've got music to sell, and they want to put the "best" bit of the track up in the sample. quite often it is the end of a breakdown that is the "best" part of the track anyway; leaving the punter wanting more, impulse buying etc..
thieves!
I like cake

Holy fuck, I just visited Beatport for the first time since they launched 4.0 and now I can't use it at all. I have no idea whether it's my browser, my internet connection, whatever. Half the buttons I click in don't change anything in the screen, neither give me feedback. I click on my crate, nothing happens. I click on a release, nothing happens. Fucking hell.

Yeah, it's definitely bothered me in the past too, but as of late it just seems to be a lot worse
I'd imagine it's just the middle x% of the track.
just do what I do, if you have even the slightest bit of doubt about how much you'll end up liking the tune, don't buy it. you'll end up with a lot fewer mediocre tunes and a lot more tunes that you're really excited about, although it may take longer to get as many of them. still, your library's level of quality will go way up.
dig son! and never settle!

Junodownload gives you a 1min 30sec preview and this isnt really long enough for tracks more than 6 mintues long which allot are.
The samples are automated. Go listen to any tune that has been released several times on different labels and at different dates, and you'll notice that the sample is the same each time. Do you really think they have humans chop samples out of all incoming tracks that they go through each day?
Also, you wouldn't be having this problem if you weren't shopping for trance
I try to buy tracks elsewhere. Beatport's previews are misleading and the website takes forever to load these days.
Beatport previews arent good considering they are trying to sell mp3s to people, its a bit like a car salesman just showing you the boot of a car ffs
