Happy 200th Birthday, Charles Darwin!

You're dead, you're not going to read this, but you changed History, and clueless people still quarrel pointlessly because of your nutty ideas made of awesome and win!

May your birthday live up to everyone's expectations, since you cannot live it yourself

My geology professor mentioned this today and half the people didn't even know who he was.

"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change." - Charles Darwin

Love it, so true...

Yeah we had a special lunch for him. (Medical and pharmaceutical research institute)

Someone dug up a copy of Emma Darwin's cookbook (his wife and also cousin, how about that) and made a curry recipe out of that. I was too busy to go but apparently it was quite good.

Happy birthday big fella!

Unfortunately I have not. But, and correct me if I'm getting the wrong impression of kuhn, isn't the very fact that we have people criticizing the scientific process just proof of the scientific process at work?

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Feb-12-2009 18:00:

Kuhn doesn't criticize the scientific process. He just thinks it works differently from the way most people think.

Yeah I think I was confusing it with something else.

I totally forgot about that webcomic when it ended years ago. At least kestrel still lives on in the Something Positive webcomic
