Wow, it looked like a good turn out, especially for a Wed night. Looked fun!

ya I thought it sounded very crisp.
Seemed like they were having some issues with Dubfire's Traktor at one point though and he switched over to CDJ's. It seemed to cut out from time to time and you could tell he was getting frustrated. Other than that, sick night IMO.
I don't know if this is the Funktion 1 but the sound was coming from the silver speakers to the left and right of the DJ and was indeed very crisp. I didn't hear any sound coming from the black speakers over the DJ.
Very good turnout for a Wednesday. Outside area got full early and inside before midnight. M/W ratio was so so.

thanks to all who came out. It was a great night IMO for a wednesday dealio.
See you tomorrow night at King King for Compression!

traktor skips and fidgets ALL THE TIME, it is an amazing program but i have never switched over from serato for exactly that reason. native instruments is notorious for making great sounding programs that are relatively unstable.
serato never crashes or fidgets like that, though it doesn't sound as good and is definitely a less cool program.
i think when you are headlining dj, crowds trust you enough to blame the laptop, but you don't always have that luxury as a local dj.

As long as your laptop has at least 2gb of ram (that's a bit much I know) you shouldn't have any issues. Also, I know that Traktor + Tiger OS causes issues.

the music skipped very obviously at least once last night while he was playing at harlot. other than that it was a great party. dubfire went to play at some loft party afterwards, but i was done for the night.
